I recently had the pleasure of dining a Steakhouse, and it was truly an experience that I will cherish forever. From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for something special.

Chef Ryo-San is an absolute genius in the kitchen! Her skills are unparalleled, and the way she handles the meat is nothing short of artistry. The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful—truly the best I have had in Japan.

Every portion was served at just the right time, allowing us to savor each bite without feeling rushed. The pacing of the meal was impeccable, demonstrating a deep understanding of both culinary timing and guest experience.

If I had to choose my last meal, without a doubt, it would be at this steakhouse with Chef Ryo-San at the helm. It was a fabulous evening filled with perfection in every sense. I cannot recommend Kobe Beef Wanomiya -Kurumon Higashi Branch...

Sadly this place taught me something about high ratings in Osaka - they are a red flag. Why you ask? Because Japanese people tend to rate things very harshly and even a 3.0 score on their local restaurant review website Tabélog is considered very good. So a place with so many high ratings can only be mean one thing - it’s only for tourists, no locals come here. And to be honest we quickly figured out why, the prices are simply a scam. Look around town and you will see that other restaurants charge a fraction of this place’s prices and a quick look at the butcher prices at the nearby Kuromon market will confirm the egregious markup that this place charges. Of course we had a good time (it’s Japan after all) and the place was spotless, the service friendly etc. But it doesn’t change the fact that it’s a total tourist trap trying to get your money. We recently had an unforgettable Kobe beef experience in Osaka, and we were fortunate enough to have the incredibly talented chef Kai preparing our meal, assisted by Rio. As the only guests in the restaurant, we enjoyed an exclusive and intimate setting. Chef Kai’s culinary skills were remarkable, and each dish she served was perfectly crafted and absolutely delicious. Rio’s support and attention to detail complemented the meal, enhancing the experience even further.
