Walked in at 7 pm on a Saturday, seated immediately on the first floor in front of the grill - I think we got really lucky though!
Prices were pretty fair and we left satisfied; we spent 3930 Yen on the following: 10 assorted skewers 2 grilled scallops in butter sauce 1 lemon chuhai 1 batch of grilled enoki mushrooms
Loved the setup of the place. There's a charcoal grill and a bunch of skewers set up around the grill itself. The chef prepares it all in front of you and will hand each food item over using this long wooden spatula thing (a peel(?)). Add that with folks just drinking and having a good time 👍🏻
The scallops were fairly sweet, and the skewers had a light smokey taste. I think my only complaint is that we could've gotten more sauce for our skewers on the side or something, but they were all pretty solid as is.

Read moreThe food was good and they did their best to work with foreigners that speak very little Japanese. My issue was the cook took his gloves off before cooking our food. I don't know if he planned to step away before realizing an order came in or what but he went to the back and came back after a minute with no gloves on. He then cooked our food and walked off again when he finished. When he came back after a few more minutes, he was wearing gloves again and cooking for everyone else. I'm not sure why he didn't have gloves on for cooking our food but I found it odd. Otherwise, as stated, it was a nice...
