We tried to go to the okonomiyaki restaurant but it was full of people in waiting. We had to wait more than an hour. We came here but the choice is limited to four flavors of vegan and gluten-free takoyaki and one non-gluten-free one (the one with sesame). Since everything is gluten-free, I don't know why a dish should have it, you risk contamination in the preparation. Here too the waiting time is long, at least 40 minutes and the reason is that there are only 10 seats inside and one worker! For the food I would give five stars but for the layout and cleanliness I would give one star o less. The environment is chaotic and is not cleaned except by customers and if the one before you doesn't do it you will find your seat table dirty. You have to pay and order before sitting in a chair where you can't turn around because you're touching other people. In one corner there is the area for drinks that you can make yourself, there is an absurd mess, even there the bottom of the bottle was sticky. The cutlery is disposable and you have to clear the table yourself. I went to the bathroom, in addition to there being an inch of dust in the hand towel holder, the ten centimeters of surrounding tile was black. As soon as you enter the kitchen is visible and only one person works there, the tiles in the work area are dirty. You will wait on the stairs, dirty and narrow, in summer it's fine but for what it offers it's better to...
Read moreA friend found this place on google maps and the reviews seemed to sign praise so we decided to check it out. Man did it not disappoint.
We got there just before it opened and there was a small line. As the people in front of us ordered we realised the lady working there was handling everything on her own.
We learned that she was the owner Shiho and that’s how the business is run. Shiho is an absolute boss lady and honestly we didn’t mind waiting to order while we got to watch her work her magic.
As a vegan I was stocked to have so many options when ordering okonomiyaki. It’s never happened ever. I accidentally ordered the large thinking that was the size I’d seen Shiho already preparing, but it was even bigger and an extremely large meal, so come hungry!
I loved that she offered meat options too so I could share the experience with my friend who eats meat. She commented that it was the best okonomiyaki she had ever had too.
The place was colourfully decorated by all the people who had visited the restaurant with messages on the walls and ceilings done in markers left by Shiho.
A no frills place that puts its energy into its food and a super positive message about good health and hard work.
If you’re in Osaka, I dare say this is one place you don’t want to...

Tucked away in Osaka, this little spot is an absolute treasure. The place runs on trust and creativity. There's a self-service drink corner where, for just 200 yen dropped in a jar and a push on the rooster, you can pour your own drink. It’s such a fun, freeing concept that perfectly matches the grunge-style atmosphere.
The walls and tables are covered in handwritten messages and doodles, as an intentional part of the decor. It creates a raw, authentic feel that’s both nostalgic and welcoming. With Nirvana and Green Day blasting in the background, I felt completely transported back to a formative time in my life – one shaped by music, freedom, and a friend who first introduced me to this kind of lifestyle.
The food? Absolutely delicious. Entirely vegan, but far from boring – every dish bursts with creativity and flavor 🤩
What’s even more impressive is that the entire place is run by one woman. Her energy, vision, and trust in her guests shape the entire experience.
This isn’t just a meal but a vibe and memory. Highly recommended for anyone who wants...
