Uokazu — Restaurant in Osaka

Wanted to have a bowl of Sea Urchin rice bowl and so picked this place which seems promising. Only one chef and helper and so, service can be slow if there is a crowd. We waited almost 20 mins to get our sashimi bowl. Overall, I think the food was OK but the sea urchin tasted a little funny. And we have tried many uni before. Probably not a very high grade of sea urchin used. Overall OK but not fantastic. We paid about ¥6k+ for two bowls...

Comes across this restaurant thru a free Osaka travel book at our guest house, Sunplaza... not dare to try their Sea Urchin rice bowl so instead tried their salmon rice bowl... The foods were fresh n there's no Q there cos we went there on a weekday n odd hours to have either lunch nor dinner... The food was served quick. N the prices were like double from other stores, I reckon, but of cos without the "raw egg n...

Pretty average restaurant. You could go there if you are super hungry. There are probably better places in the fish market.

The unagi is pretty good. Great taste and texture.

The sashimi bowl is pretty average. Don’t taste anything special. The white tuna is bad though. It’s so chewy that I have to spit it out.

Would recommend to try other places instead and...
