Shinsaibashi-higashi Crystal Hotel — Hotel in Osaka

Hotel was average price deal and facilities but the fridge did not work and they insisted we change rooms if we wanted a working one, which was too much hassle as we were only staying two nights. Also, their payment system, if you reserve through Paypal, is opaque and quite inconvenient. I paid the full reservation as a "deposit" for the booking, and on arrival they would not admit us to the room until we paid the entire booking again at the front desk, effectively charging us twice. When I inquired about the refund of the deposit the desk staff appeared to be completly unaware of the process, nor could they guarantee when, or if, my booking deposit would be returned (it was finally credited a week after I had checked-out, after I pursued it with Paypal and Trip.com). I stayed at Shinsaibashi-Higashi Crystal Hotel for one night and had a wonderful experience. The neighborhood was quiet, with plenty of restaurants nearby, a Family Mart just a 1-minute walk away, laundry mat, and the Kintetsu-Nippombashi subway station about 6 minutes on foot. The room was cozy and very clean, with Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body & Hand Soap provided. Of course there was AC in the room. The free Wi-Fi worked perfectly. The staff were very friendly, and we even received complimentary water. I booked this hotel through Agoda, and after check-out, I was able to leave my luggage, which was extremely convenient. Osaka was the first city I visited in Japan and together with friend, I chose to stay near Dotonburi, because it's like the highlight of Osaka. ||The hotel just so near from Dotonburi, 5 minutes walk. ||Around the hotel you can find vending machine (of course, it's Japan) and minimarket. The area is sort of quite and comfortable, but it's not scary at all. We walked around 1 am and it's just fine. ||||The room was not so big (as other hotels in Japan) but enough for 2 people along with our 4 luggage. I love the cleanliness and also the bedding.
