I loved the curry at this restaurant!

I honestly don't recognise the negative reviews regarding the staff here. We went as two English-speaking foreigners and the lady who served us was lovely. She did her best to explain the menu to us in English and help us order, and she was really kind. I speak a little Japanese, enough to be polite, and I think that can get you a long way - if you're nice, then people will be nice to you in return!

We both had the black curry with cheese and a breaded chicken cutlet. It was DELICIOUS. The black curry was so rich and satisfying, and the cheese on top made a nice change as I've never experienced that on Japanese curry before. It wasn't expensive at all either, I think we only spent a few thousand yen.

I recently had the pleasure of dining here and I must say, their beef curry and chicken curry dishes left me absolutely impressed! The beef curry was rich, flavorful, and tender, while the chicken curry was perfectly spiced and incredibly delicious. Each bite was a culinary delight, bursting with authentic flavors that truly satisfied my taste buds. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance added to the overall dining experience. I highly recommend trying both the beef and chicken curry dishes - they are truly worth every penny. A definite 5-star experience!

The best Japanese curry rice I've had in Tokyo. The katsu was deep fried to perfectjon; crispy skin but not oily while keeping the meat tender and juicy. I added an omelette to my rice, and I wasn't disappointed; it was soft and creamy. My partner had the beef curry with spinach add-on. It was also delicious. The lunch set came with soup and salad/potatoes. There's also free drinks (iced tea).

The service staff were attentive and efficient. They spoke English sufficiently enough, which made me feel welcome. The menu comes with English translation.

If you're a fan of Japanese curry rice, I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful curry. Melt in your mouth experience with the beef! The curry is on a slightly sweet side but it is fragrant, deep, and rich without being greasy. The spicy fried chicken is very economical given the quality and quantity of the dish. What surprised me the most though is the rice. Perfectly cooked while each seed is still intact without being mushy. Hence they all go well into this wonderful curry experience. Definitely gonna come back for a more fancy version with more beef/ katsu.

The black roux is slowly simmered over a long period of time, and even before it tastes good, the texture and aroma of the roux clearly indicate that a considerable amount of time was spent preparing it. The beef used as an ingredient is also slowly prepared just like the roux, and it can be easily broken off by simply using a spoon. Although it's called "Curry," it is naturally a long-prepared roux, so there is no harsh aroma or taste of spices, and it has a mellow finish. The sweetness, bitterness, and spiciness are all exquisitely blended without being overpowering, and there is never a persistent taste that lingers after eating. It goes without saying that the dishes served at the table are beautiful in appearance. Another unique feature of this restaurant is that potatoes are served as an appetizer. As a small restaurant, it seats about 20 to 30 people. It's a good choice for a luxurious time with friends who know each other well.
