First meal in Japan. Arrived late and went for some traditional Japanese restaurants without plans. Bad experience! Stay away!
BEWARE! We sit in the common area, not box, and got charged both table fee and service fee without notifying us. The waiter attempted to show us a final number without itemized details. I asked for details, found 550 yen table fee each person, and 10% service fee on top of both tax and the table fee.
The only star is for the waitress. She was professional all the time, took a lot of efforts to intro the dishes to us.
Food was utterly disappointing too. The shabushabu we ordered was normal, tastes ok, not bad. But with 3200 yen we expected a little more. The 4800 yen meal was very overpriced. Apparently this place is owned by someone that once produced the Kabukicho Theater so you'll see kabukicho posters around the restaurant.
Food was your standard Japanese wafu lunch. Complete meal. A little bit of protein, miso, rice, sashimi, veggies. I wouldn't mind eating...
