Brasserie Paul Bocuse Daimaru Tokyo — Restaurant in Tokyo

I wild actually give it 3.5 … but to be fair to the restaurant, with approx 3,600yen lunch, this is the best performance I’ve seen in a while.

Chicken confit was not bad either. Bread was okay. The lunch overall was very pleasant given the nature of it : lunch meeting, where I needed to focus more on the conversation than the food. And the dishes were very cooperative.

What I found a bit odd was the crème brûlée. The restaurant kept selling it as their « famous » crème brulee. But, for my liking, the top candied top was too thin and rather weak. I would have preferred a more robust top as I have had in other restaurants (to be fair, those came at a cost).

Overall, highly recommend for business lunch and small gathering. Very convenient location...

数回訪問したことがあり、料理のうまさには確信をもっていたので楽しみにしていた。

ところが…。 まず、いつもなら予約時間より早くきても席に通してくれていたのに今回は違った。店の前で並ぶスタイル。予約時間でないと入店させてくれないのね。 まぁ良いでしょう。

着席し、コースの確認。 同伴者が予約をしてくれていたので内容を事前に把握してなかったが、「あれ、前に来た時と変わってないじゃん」まぁ良いわ。違う料理を選べば済むし。

出てきたアミューズ。 あ、食べたことあるやつだ。 まぁ良いや、アミューズだし。

続いて前菜。 【佐賀県産ホワイトアスパラガスとサーモンのテリーヌ】 この手の料理って手間かかるんだろうなと思いながらいただく。さっぱりしていて、蒸し暑い時期には良いよね。

続いて、オプションで頼んだ【ヴィシソワーズ】 「うわ、しょっぱい」 ポロネギやじゃがいもの甘さが感じられない。 私には塩辛い。追加でパンを頼み浸しながら食べればどうにかなるかと思ったけど、ダメ。 (ヴィシソワーズってこんなんだっけ？)
