CAFE de GINZA MIYUKIKAN 5th street — Restaurant in Tokyo

A few days ago, during my trip to Japan, I had the only unpleasant experience. We ordered two small cakes. One of them was a strawberry tower that was only available for a limited time, but the cream on it had a very strong smell of the refrigerator. It was really hard to swallow. We called the waitress to solve the problem. A girl with a ponytail and bangs, who seemed to be the team leader of the store, dealt with our complaint very carelessly. When she came back to taste the cake, she was giggling and showed no respect for us. She seemed to think that we were deliberately causing trouble. After tasting it, she told us that none of them had found any problem. But my friend and I could tell the moment we took a bite. This girl had a very bad attitude. She showed no apology at all, only disdain and ridicule. She really brought shame to Japanese service. This is the first time I have left a comment on Google Maps. I hope everyone can avoid such unpleasant experiences during their travels.

I am never one to leave a bad review but my poor experience here will be the exception. I am never coming back. Food was good but will not justify the inferior service.

I am a tourist and do not speak Japanese. It’s difficult to understand why the waiters were constantly snickering or slamming things around us. They looked annoyed most of the time. It’s either they do not like foreigners or there is something incredibly amusing in the restaurant they found funny every few minutes. Whichever the excuse, NOT impressed. I felt I am not appreciated nor welcomed as a paying customer.

Side note: read other reviews and found similar experiences. If its been an ongoing issue, I hope the management will look into it. Discriminatory behaviour is nothing to...

I advise trying a different locale. This one allows smoking inside the cafe. Someone was smoking a cigar. The air was so thick with smoke it was slightly hazy, the tiny air purifier they had running was inadequate to clear the air. I had to leave before my order came, due to burning sinuses and throat, a budding headache and rising nausea. No condition in which to enjoy a decadent dessert like Mont Blanc (which I highly recommend! Just at a different Miyuki-Kan.) There are several in...
