A hidden gem for authentic Indonesian food in Tokyo!

I visited D’Indonesian Spices for dinner around 5 PM, and luckily it wasn’t crowded, probably because the restaurant is still new and quite small. But as you might expect, Indonesian hospitality is always on another level! The staff (two very kind and friendly ibu-ibu sisters) made me feel right at home.

When I visited, they seemed to have a daily special menu, I’m not sure if it changes every day, but that day I tried their Ayam Bakar, and it was so delicious! The portion was really big, and it even came with a tahu (tofu) that had the perfect soft texture just like in Indonesia which not the easily crumbled type like Japanese tofu.

I also ordered Es Kopi Toraja, and honestly, it was delicious, so flavorful and smooth! I happened to visit during a promo, so I got a discount, but even at the normal price, I think it’s really worth it for the portion and taste.

Oh, and I was planning to try their Tahu Isi too, because I saw the table next to me got it, and it looked huge! Unfortunately, it was already sold out when I ordered.

And the best part? THE SAMBAL!🌶️🔥 It’s the spiciest sambal I’ve ever had in any Indonesian restaurant in Tokyo. Even my friend, who’s crazy about spicy food, agreed, this is hands down the spiciest and most authentic sambal in town.
