The bald guy in the kitchen (probably the owner) has to learn how to speak to the customers. We came with my wife very early before the "restaurant" was open, waited for 20 minutes. Ordered meal "A". Everything was great. But in one moment my wife takes out her lemon tea in a bottle to take one sip, and the bald guy literally shouts from the kitchen: "This is a restaurant!!" We also have drinks!! When I asked normally: "do you have lemon tea?", he shouts again: "No, but we have other drinks!" All this in a rude manner. Yeah, the other drinks in the menu were: coffee, vine and beer. Good luck if you don't drink alcohol (we don't). But that is not the issue. My wife only took a small sip. I'm 100% positive that he wouldn't allow himself to shout to other Japanese people. Oh, but since we were not Japanese he thinks he can address to as in a inappropriate manner. I'm gonna suggest you how to deal with a situation like this. It's very easy, so probably even you can understand. You just come to our table and say in a respectful manner: "Sorry, but we don't allow to drink beverages that were purchased outside the restaurant. If you wish I can offer you our drinks". That's it! It's so easy! But definitely not shouting from the kitchen. Especially when no other customer saw us commit that terrible crime (there were 3 people seating in the bar table). Almost laughed in his face when he said "restaurant". The smallest bar in Argentina is bigger. Special message for you my bald guy: Aprende a atender gente amiguito! Como te vas a hacer el canchero y gritar desde la cocina xD Por favor. No seas ridiculo. Donde aprendiste a atender gente? XD La milaesa demaciado salada, asi que anda a...
Read moreDon Gaucho is a cute little Argentinian restaurant in Kudanshita. I went one night with my Argentinian friend who had recommended it. I arrived a few minutes late, so I am not sure if there is a choice but my friend informed that we were eating the set menu. The set consisted of an two appetizers and a main course of a smorgasbord of meat with fries. The first course, an empanada, was quite good, as were the assortment of small appetizers that came next. The meat comes on a heated platter with a bunch of fries, all the meat was very good, except there was at least one thing I do not eat which was blood sausage. My only critique is that because all the meat comes at once, some of it is inevitably cold by the time you are finishing up the plate. However, the total for two people including a bottle of wine was only about 10K yen each, which I consider reasonable for the quality. The proprietor (or what I believe was the proprietor) was also very friendly and charismatic. Definitely...
Read moreAmongst various gastronomy and eateries in Tokyo, the Argentinian steak and the owner's service offered in "Don Gaucho" restaurant were impeccable to our dining experiences.
We already came here twice for dinner in 2024 as we were impressed, on our 1st visit, by the way the steak was cooked as well as the way we were treated by the owner who is truly professional and hospitable. Despite the limited range of dish choices, it seems to us that every dish is well-prepared and must be one of a kind. This consequently makes us keep coming as to try other dishes and definitely to "repeat" the steak. It was flavourful, tender and juicy, perfectly paired with the chimichurri sauce.
Also, there's one thing I would like to say: I personally love their choices of Malbec. I recommend Don David, Norton Reserva and Angelica Zapata.
From this given, I don't hesitate to give this restaurant 5 stars and will definitely come back...
