During our recent visit to Harbs, we had high hopes of trying their famous fruit crepe. However, to our disappointment, it was sold out at the time. We decided to give their matcha red beans cake a try instead. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations due to several factors.
Firstly, we were informed that there is a minimum order requirement of one drink per customer. Regrettably, there were limited drink options available during our visit, which further restricted our choices. The tea we ordered turned out to be quite ordinary and didn't justify its price. It lacked the unique flavors and quality that we were hoping for.
On a positive note, the matcha red beans cake itself was decent. The cream had a fresh taste, complementing the flavors of the cake. However, this alone couldn't compensate for the overall underwhelming experience.
Another aspect that left us dissatisfied was the slow service. It took a considerable amount of time for the staff to take our order and serve our food. This delay affected our overall dining experience, making it less enjoyable and time-efficient.
While Harbs may have a reputation for its fruit crepes, the unavailability of the item during our visit, coupled with the limited drink options, ordinary tea, and slow service, left us disappointed. We had higher expectations for our visit, considering the positive reviews we had heard about this establishment.
Although the matcha red beans cake had its merits, it was not enough to salvage our overall impression of the visit. We hope that Harbs can improve on the areas of limited options, tea quality, and service efficiency to provide a more satisfying experience to...

Their pasta selection had finished by that time. So we sticked to have the cakes. But the cakes were also getting lesser in selection. A good selection was already sold out.
We ended up with the fresh fruit cake and the marron tart with coffee. The cakes were well baked with a lovely fragrance. However, I feel taste-wise, is nothing really very outstanding. We have had better ones.
The marron tart had a tinge of alcohol rum in it. This made it more exotic. Fruit tart was filled with grapes, strawberry and raspberry.
Service was alright, looks like this Sunday's crowd tire out the staff. Smiles if any, weren't very forthcoming.
Price was slightly on the high side, but that was to be expected with a place like this. But for me, if didn't really reflect the taste and the waiting time.
Overall, good experience if you have time anf paitence. Otherwise, can give it a miss, it's...

First visit I had the strawberry shortcake and the marron tart. For dine-in, they require you to order one drink per person; I had the Manhattan dark roast brewed coffee which had a bold flavor and goes well with the sweet cakes. Price is pretty good as you can get a free re-fill. The cakes were delicious; the ratio of strawberry to cream to sponge was perfect for the strawberry shortcake; and for the marron tart, the fresh cream has tiny bits of chocolate flakes which melts in your mouth, pairs well with the chestnut paste which has a subtle rum flavor.
Went back another day and ordered the strawberry pie and the marron shortcake for takeout. The strawberry pie has a thin flaky and buttery crust, filled with large strawberries and custard cream which was very tasty, but I prefer the strawberry tart I had last year which has a better fresh cream to custard ratio. The marron shortcake was also tasty; sponge was light, layered with fresh cream which contains chestnut bits, marron paste has a strong rum flavor, a bit overpowering so I prefer the...
