I think as a foreigner living in Japan, people are quick to write off this place because it feels like they target tourists (which they do but there is nothing wrong with that). But I honestly prefer this place over many izakayas I have been to. 1) there is no seat charge. 2) you pay up front so no hassle trying to get the bill. 3) they have little snacks to nibble on 4) their craft beer is way better than Japanese beer IMO.
