Jōnan Ramen Shiryū — Restaurant in Tokyo

No wait but if there was a line it would have been worth it! Favourite ramen in Ginza so far the noodles were incredible highly recommend hard thin noodles. If you order the main Shiryu ramen you can choose the amount of garlic you want, thickness of noodles, firmness, and type of char siu. Ice cold barley tea was for free in a jug on the table which also hit the spot on a hot summer night. The vending machine had some English signs but there was many extra buttons at the bottom that Google translate was able to assist with. #2 was cool you could choose 5 additional toppings. #13 was SPICY with heaps of sesame and very good. Walked passed it and it didn’t have any Q so gave it a try. Don’t know if it’s because I was not expecting and didn’t queue up or not really enjoyed it

The size of the noodle was a good surprise didn’t expect Ramen to be this thin

The broth is on the salty side, but not too oily. The pork is good. You can choose three toppings that you like the egg is nothing fancy, but goes well with the broth

The gyozaa that looks really good too, but I didn’t get it

Don’t forget to add the aged vinegar that’s in a pot on the counter. It gives a nice cut to the grease. Oh, and don’t forget a dash of pepper

Amazing experience in this ramen! It was pretty late on our return from Disneyland and we stopped by to eat something as the closing hours were fitting well but without really expecting for something astonishing...

And we were so wrong....

The servers were very helpful and helped us with the ticket machine. The boil was really delicious and balanced well with the noodles. The spicy miso was just enough to add some complexity in taste but without being too strong. The char-siu was amazing in taste.
