Its small but neat and clean. only 7 seats are provided so we need to queue up outside. Rules are shown outside the restaurant. When we are queuing up, the female owner took order already. so when there are seats available, we can have food as soon as possible. when we get in, the restaurant is full of good smell (the soup). feel so homey. She let us choose ingredients on food, (dried fish or meat) and when i was not sure, the male owner explained to us. 🤍 I ordered Kitsune udon set. its udon with bean curd skin/ tofu skin, green onions. The soup is very taste, udon is bouncy not chewy. salad and rice are included in set, and also agar(?). I am not sure its name, but its good with rice. The whole experience is good and smooth. when we are going to leave, the owners came to the door to say goodbye to us. I feel sorry for those travel with family coz the restaurant only serves adults, and maximum is two. it’s understandable because the area is not big enough. Hope more people can try their udon! and hope next time i can try their cold udon(only...
Read moreDefinitely don’t go. It was the most ridiculous experience I ever had in Japan for the past decade.
Me and my family were shopping in Ginza the other day, and we didn’t plan any restaurant for lunch, just wanted to get a quick meal. We randomly found this store near Mitsukoshi on google and decided to go.
When we arrived, the female owner asked me how many people we were with a very rude look on her face. I said three, and she asked us to sit at three empty seats by the counter. The entire conversation was all in Japanese. After we sat down and started to read the menu, suddenly both owners asked us to leave because we exceed maximum group size of two. How ridiculous! They let us in after confirmed there were 3 of us and then asked us to leave as soon as they realised we were foreigners.
I am glad we didn’t dine there because I saw other’s review saying the owners didn’t wash hands after cough.
I actually don’t want to spend any more time on them, but I feel it’s criminal if I didn’t let everyone else know about...
Read moreProbably the best udon of my life! The broth was so light yet flavorful—the perfect pick me up on a cold windy day. The beancurd was the star, as it went perfectly with the broth.
The place is obscure to find, you must find a small elevator to get up to the 2nd floor leading to the restaurant’s entranceway. And then you will find that this space only sits a handful of people at a time. This is all part of its charm, really! The owner/chef was really nice, too. Highly recommend this spot. Will come back for...
