Terrible service. The servers were not very welcoming at all and kept giving off bad vibes and felt very discriminatory. Very strict with seating. I came with a party of 3. We were willing to sit separately so we don't wait long. For some reason, the server kept insisting that I sit in front of the door, which is the coldest area since the wind would keep blowing in. There were tables that sat 2 but allowed seating for 1. When other people came in, the server happily seated them further inside. Second, the server never gave me a cup of tea until I asked. When I asked another server for another cup of tea, she gave another customer a cup of water and handed me a whole pitcher of cold water instead. In addition, the server kept kicking or tripping on my chair on purpose. Third, the tempura was terrible. It was soggy and not very crisp. I ate a few spoonfuls of rice and left very quickly afterwards. Lastly, my bf got food poisoning from the garbage they call "tempura(pork katsu)" here, puked and had diarrhea the...

The experience of sitting in a straight table and ordering all things on the table and just eating your meal quickly and leaving all of this was somewhat new but I thoroughly enjoyed especially when the food was so good. The tempura comes with rice and miso soup , I chose half the quantity of rice and it costed a few cents less. They have some daily or set options also that are relatively cheaper, but even then this is a very budget friendly place...
Read moreFirst sit down meal in Japan on this trip. There’s a line at 8:30pm on a rainy Monday, I didn’t wait long. Order from iPad in Japanese, English, Korean, or Chinese. I got the seasonal Gochiso tendon set with cold soba, added mushroom and seasonal item flounder. Very tasty meal for 2000 Yen. They take credit cards. Table setup is bar style, hence suitable for solo, duo, and groups. Yes, there are a lot of foreigners here, but this is also tourist central and many restaurants are packed with foreigners. I think it’s nice they make it easy for people who don’t speak Japanese to eat well without...
