Side dishes are all great, sashimi is fresh and delicious. Service here is warm and attentive. I leave the main Unagi rice last to enjoy, but unfortunately I have to say this is a rather disappointing unagi experience. The seasoning is not quite right, way too salty and leaves a slight bitterness in the mouth afterwards. There are 2 things that I would eat every time that I visit Japan, they are unagi and soba (my standard for unagi is prob on the high side). I always finished eating unagi rice wanting more but this time I just wanted to be done with it. I'm afraid I didn't quite get my unagi fix...

I happened to come across the restaurant while shopping at the Daimaru. I had the Deluxe Unagi don set. This comes with one whole unagi with variety of side dishes. In the set, there is also a seasonal sashimi which was really fresh and tasty. The unagi itself was really well made. On the surface, there was a slight crisp to it, yet on the inside meat was soft and juicy. Even my toddler daughter loves this restaurant. Solid eel rice. I like that it is soft and flavourful. Also make sure to get the eel wrapped in egg as an appetiser, it's really delicious and delicate.
