The staff made it painfully obvious that we weren’t welcome — the way they treated foreign guests versus Japanese guests was night and day. We could clearly feel the judgment and dismissiveness throughout the entire experience.
We ordered quite a bit of food and asked for a takeout container, but they flatly refused, saying “No takeout.” As a result, we had to leave behind everything we couldn’t finish — including tamagoyaki, cheese balls, and eel rice.
