Terribly expensive when considering the price and Chefâs attitude (æ¥å®¢) was also very disappointing. Paying 27,500 Yen for this low quality Neta and other dishes is outrageousð€¢ð€¢ð€¢ð€¢ð€¢
See the photos below and think yourself if below dishes and sushi costs 27,500 Yen (Uni from Mizaki? And tunas were way too ordinary)
Chef rushes, placing Sushi even before I finish previous food which is a terrible manner considering the timeliness of Omakase
He seems to be bothered explaining it to foreign customers. For example when serving Botan Abi, he just says âPrawnâ and when serving Uni he just says sea urchin instead of giving additional details about the Neta (for ex uni from Hookaido⊠)
thereâs not so many expensive Neta No crab, No Abalone, No high grade Uni and so on⊠the Botanabi they serve and the tunas were also not impressive
Also personally i was hoping for more traditional sushis like Hirame, Madai, Saba, but there were non of these
Draft beer is not on the menu and corkage is unavailable
Waste of time and money canât believe why this place holds such a high...
Read moreThis is the worst omakase experience I have ever had in Japan. We went to Sushi Satake on 24 Oct 2025. Cooked food is nice, but as a sushi place, the fish is obviously not fresh enough, seasoning is excessive but boring, with the majority of them having a thick layer of soy sauce on top that masked the original color of the flesh of the fish. The rice is loose, and too hot at times that actually amplified the fishy smell of the fish. The cooked prawn is drenched in a soy-sauce colored liquid which is actually overloaded with sugar. The service is far from being normal Japaneseâs standard. Interaction from the chef was minimum, as the sushi course progressed the chef even stop introducing the fish to us, and threw sushi on the table. Staff was eager for us to leave at the end of the omakase service because we didnât make additional order. We were absolutely disappointed, and regretted choosing this sushi place over other with more consistent...
Read moreAbout a 10-minute walk from Ginza, unique setup of just four seats in a private room with a young chef at the helm. Unfortunately, the experience was a huge disappointment.
At Â¥27,500 per person, I expected something normal, but the sushi rice was some of the worst Iâve ever had. It wasnât chewy or balancedâit was hard, undercooked, and honestly felt like poorly cooked Chinese rice. Iâve had better rice at standing sushi spots for a fraction of the price.
As for the seafood, there was clams (gai)âjust fish throughout the course. While I love fish, it made the whole meal feel incomplete, especially for such price. The lack of variety was disappointing, and nothing about the sushi made up for it. The chef was very quiet and doesnât bother to communicate.
I really wanted to enjoy this place, but I canât recommend it. For the price and location, there are far better...
