When you step into "Ginza Happo" (海鮮ブッフェダイニング 銀座八芳) in Tokyo's Ginza district, you're immediately captivated by the elegant ambiance. The interior design of the restaurant blends modern minimalism with traditional Japanese aesthetics, creating a dining environment that is both comfortable and refined. The soft lighting and well-spaced seating ensure that every guest can enjoy their meal in a private and cozy setting.
The main attraction of "Ginza Happo" is undoubtedly its extensive seafood buffet. From the moment you enter, you're greeted by a vibrant array of seafood, with an impressive selection of fresh fish, shellfish, and other marine delicacies. The freshness of the seafood is particularly striking—each piece of fish glistens, and every shrimp is plump and full of elasticity, as if just plucked from the ocean.
The sushi bar is always bustling, with skilled sushi chefs swiftly and expertly preparing a wide variety of sushi. Whether it’s traditional offerings like tuna or salmon sushi or creative modern sushi rolls, the flavors are consistently outstanding. The vinegared rice is perfectly balanced, and the fish is fresh and flavorful, making the sushi here a paradise for food lovers.
Sashimi is another must-try. The restaurant offers a wide range of sashimi, with thick slices of tuna, salmon, and sea bream that are simply irresistible. Each piece of sashimi is as exquisite as a work of art, and the fresh, sweet taste lingers long after the meal. The scallop and sea urchin sashimi, in particular, are highly recommended for their exceptional flavor.
In addition to seafood, "Ginza Happo" also offers a variety of cooked dishes, including tempura, grilled items, and simmered dishes. The tempura is crispy without being greasy, especially the shrimp tempura, which is tender and juicy. The grilled Wagyu beef is also a popular choice, with its rich flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture. These cooked dishes add depth and variety to the overall dining experience.
Finally, the dessert section of the restaurant is not to be missed. From traditional Japanese sweets to Western-style cakes, each dessert is meticulously crafted, with just the right amount of sweetness to perfectly round off the meal.
Overall, "Ginza Happo" is not just a restaurant; it's a feast for the senses. Whether you're a seafood enthusiast or a foodie with a passion for Japanese cuisine, this place will meet all your culinary...

I recently dined here for my birthday, and it turned out to be a typical tourist trap !!!
Starting off, the food was decent. It was as expected of buffet food. Not bad, just didn't leave a lasting impression.
What really ruined the experience was the service. We had made an online reservation for my birthday dinner, yet we were seated at the table furthest from the main buffet bar. When we asked if we could be moved closer, we were told there were no other available tables. However, as I walked past, I noticed several empty tables that remained unoccupied the entire time we were there.
At 9:15 PM, they came over to tell us we couldn’t take more food and they turned off the stove. At 9:25 PM, another waiter came to inform us that our time was almost up and that we should start getting ready to leave. Finally, at 9:30 PM, a waiter came to start cleaning up our table.
These actions would have been understandable, and I wouldn’t have been offended at all. What truly upset me, however, was the way the waiter treated us afterward. At 9:30, a waiter aggressively came over and started snatching our plates and glasses straight from our hands, slamming them down on the table and glaring at us. This behavior was completely unprofessional. As we were walking to the cashier, we asked for his name (in English). Not long after, he started smirking and laughing with his colleagues, and said "知らんわ帰れ." Which means "idfk man just get out of here." We then confronted him in Japanese, and he went completely silent. There was no remorse or apology for his actions.
The atmosphere was decent—not bad, but the food presentation could have been improved.
Considering we paid ¥12,000 per person, this experience was far from worth it. While I knew I wasn’t going to get fine dining food at a buffet, I did expect it to be above average. Unfortunately, it didn’t even meet my already modest expectations. There are plenty of other dining options that offer better food and service for a lower price. Needless to say, I won’t...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant De Zeeuwse Smaken, and it was a culinary experience to remember. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, and the atmosphere was intimate and cozy, with soft lighting and stylish décor.
Food:
The food was simply outstanding. We started with a starter of freshly caught oysters, beautifully presented on a bed of ice. The oysters were fresh, with a delicate briny flavor, perfectly balanced with a hint of lemon. We then enjoyed a creamy lobster bisque, rich in flavor with a touch of tarragon that added a nice depth to the dish.
For the main course, we chose the grilled sea bass, which was perfectly cooked. The fish was juicy and tender, with a crispy skin, served with a delightful white wine and caper sauce. The side dishes, including the crispy seasonal vegetables and the creamy mashed potatoes, complemented the dish perfectly.
Dessert was a real highlight: a light panna cotta with a fresh berry sauce and a crispy biscuit. The flavors were well-balanced, not too sweet, and the presentation was stunning.
Service:
The service was excellent. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, and they had an extensive knowledge of the menu, making the selection process much easier. The timing between courses was perfect, giving us enough time to enjoy each dish without feeling rushed.
Very nice
