2024年にリニューアルオープンし 完全予約制のカウンター4席が 誕生したTORAYA GINZA

If you’re curious, follow me and stay tuned! After hearing news that the Toraya An Stand is closing, I started craving nerikiri and decided it was time for a visit I reserved a semi-private room where an artisan crafts the sweets right in front of you
Shoka (Banana leaf motif) with drink: ¥2,090
As always, I ordered my favorite—iced matcha
The nerikiri is limited-time only, available until the end of August It features a fusion of banana, cacao, and red bean paste, which was innovative and delicious
Every time I visit, I’m struck by how special the space is, watching the artisan create nerikiri and wagashi right before your eyes Chatting with them adds to the fun—it’s truly fascinating
Since I missed lunch and was quite hungry, I ended up ordering an anmitsu for the first time in a while
Anmitsu (à la carte): ¥1,670
The smooth red bean paste on top was as wonderfully tasty as ever —I couldn’t help but smile. The fruit topping changes with the season, and this time it was green plum, which was also a lovely choice and added great flavor
Apparently, they offer chestnut shaved ice with marron glacé in season —the artisan recommended it to me, so I’ll definitely have to check it...
Read moreHave tried to eat here a few times but there was always a long line. This time, there was also a line (20 minute wait) but my wife and I decided to wait. Toraya has a Japanese traditional confectionary (wagashi) on the first floor and Toraya Karyo (tea room) on the second floor. We shared and thoroughly enjoyed an order each of seasonal anmitsu and strawberry kakigori (shaved ice) with condensed milk. Highly recommended for...
Read moreWonderful experience. We had our afternoon tea here and it was so peaceful from the busy streets of Ginza. You can’t go wrong with any of the deserts. I had originally wanted to order the Persimmon dessert but unfortunately it was sold out. My hojicha had delicate flavours and was the perfect companion to the chosen dessert. Service was wonderful. I highly recommend this place if you are...
