We we're looked for a dinner spot after taking the tour of the Toyko Tower and Googled a bunch of locations. It was late, rainy and only had the one night in town as part of our trip back to the states. We settled on Trattoria Liana. It had good reviews and by a decent number of people. It was a downstairs/basement location which is sort of NY/Northeast if your from America. We didn't have reservations but hopped in an Uber and headed over. We were immediately greeted by the Manager if not maybe the owner. Asked us to sit for just a minute while they cleared a table. Staff was nice, setting was nice and the food was solid, smaller (non-Western sized portions) which was just fine with a 12 hour flight less then 12 hours away. We ordered a bottle of wine, some tsp water (small glass, that didn't get filled up to the top each time we had to get someone's attention to refill them. Perfect reason for just leaving a nice refillable bottle on the table for self-filling) we split the Ceaser salad to start, slightly overdressed but crispy lettuce, a little fresh black pepper when it was brought out, tangy shaved cheese and just a few croutons. We both ordered a pasta dish, my wife had the spaghetti with salmon and spinach and I had the Bolognese and upgraded to taglatelli for an extra 300Y. The pasta was fresh, cooked to a perfect al dente and again a proper portion size. We passed on desert because we had an early wakeup and didn't want to be awake all night. All and all a solid location, probably a 4.5 and we'd definitely wonder in again if we were in the area and feeling like some Italian food. Note, they also offered pizzas which looked Amazing!! Prices were reasonable, bathroom was clean as a...
Read moreDo NOT go here if you are a tourist. The man at the front was extremely rude. I asked for a table for 2 and even showed him Google translate on my phone to ask how long the wait time is. He didn’t even bother to look at my phone and very rudely raised his voice and said no I don’t understand. Then we sat down to wait and pulled out a water from my bag to drink it, he came up to me very rudely and said no you don’t drink here. Really? He walked away so we just walked out of the restaurant. I checked other reviews and they did mention the service was rude and bad. It’s true, for me I had horrible rude service from the middle aged man at the front. It seems he does not like tourists. Rude service restaurant do not go here in Ginza, find...
Read moreI had a wonderful dining experience at this Italian restaurant in Ginza. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. I chose pizza as I needed a little break from all the Japanese cuisine, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The crust was perfectly thin and crisp, with a delicious balance of toppings that tasted truly authentic. The bruschetta was equally impressive: fresh, vibrant, and bursting with the taste of ripe tomatoes and fragrant basil. It’s rare to find Italian cuisine this genuine in the heart of Tokyo, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly...
