One of the unique style of Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) restaurant, 1,000-2,000 JPY per person. It is mainly targeted for solo-few customers' group. There is a grill for each seating, makes it comfortable for solo customers. Orders will be taken by the tablet (minimal human interaction), and has English menu (maybe there are other languages, I couldn't remember). Even if you know ZERO Japanese and the staff only knows Japanese, it should be no hassle at all. Cannot guarantee, but I'm pretty sure you can still order from the staff if you prefer that way. The serving was pretty fast (but it was 4pm when I visited here, might be the reason of it).
With all the experience above, I would categorise this restaurant as fast-food Yakiniku.
I didn't order the "wagyu meat" (but idk which country's beef they actually serve), but the taste was good enough. There were few types of sauce as well. If you are a person like "oh it must be Kobe beef", here is definitely not the place where you should go, but you can have the Yakiniku experience here at fair price (if it's fast-food little expensive I would say), and there was a 'Wagyu' choice as I remember.
Cleanliness was good. It was interesting that somehow my clothes didn't smell like BBQ after I left the restaurant, unlike other Japanese BBQ restaurant where usually your clothes will have the strong fragrance of BBQ. I don't know how they do it.
I couldn't put 5-stars for only one reason; it's 2019, but they accept ONLY CASH for the payment. An old style Japan still exists...
Read moreI have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. This is a poor introvert's dream. I had three different cuts of meat, unlimited rice, seaweed soup, kimchi, and 5+ different dipping sauces all for only 990 JPY. I had slight doubt on the quality of meat, but I was humbled. They were delicious, and the only bad thing about it is that I can't have it back in the US.
I've interacted with a human exactly three times in this store. 1. When I walked in and they guided me to my seat. 2. Saying thank you when I received my food. 3. Calling them and pointing at the iPad because the Wi-Fi had to be reset on it for some reason. Once I was done eating, I just brought my receipt over to the self checkout machine, paid, and left. If you're traveling alone and feel awkward sitting in a restaurant by yourself or aren't uncomfortable speaking Japanese, this place is an absolute gem. Again, the food is also delicious.
10/10 experience, would...
Read moreWe entered from the back alley and noticed an arrow directing us to the second level. Seating for three people at the same table was available. The menu offered a good variety, including an English version, which was helpful. Service was fast, and we were able to start grilling quickly.
The food quality was decent, and the instructions to head down to the first level for payment were clear. It was only then that we realized the shop front actually faced the road, with additional seating available on the first level. The kitchen and cashier were also located downstairs.
Overall, a convenient and straightforward dining experience with...
