The service here is very good but the wait time is quite long. The price is slightly above average compared to the food we (As locals) normally eat but when compared to other similar themed restaurants it is very cheap. The staff isn't properly trained but I don't expect much because the staff here are locals who have little to no experience in Mexican cuisine. I would however like to put emphasis on the fact that this is their first day in the field so their lack of experience can and should be excused. The staff here however are very friendly and they bring service with a smile. Onto the atmosphere, the atmosphere here is great, it gives off a western vibe with neatly decorated murals and a bar stand that looks amazing, they spent quite a lot of budget on design and personally I think that the design should be given a lot of credit as they make full use of the things available to make this place stand out. For the moment you've probably been waiting for, the food. The food here is pretty good compared to newly opened restaurants. Properly cooked, not too oily, easy to cut, easy to chew on, based on looks alone it looks absolutely scrumptious and indeed it is. The taste just explodes in your mouth and leaves a lasting impression. Overall I'll rate this place a 8/10. The things that could be worked on is definitely the serve time.
Overall rating: 8/10 Price: 4/10 Little more on the expensive side but for a restaurant with similar theme it is considered cheap as other restaurants with a western theme are bound to be more expensive. Value: 10/10 The food is worth every sen Service: 10/10 Service with a smile, friendly and easy to communicate Wait time: 2/10 Waited for a long time but it doesn't really matter for me Food quality: 9/10 Scrumptious and leaves a lasting taste but it feels like it's missing something
P.S. The pictures that I've taken doesn't really do the place good service but at least it will give you an idea of what the...
Read moreI would give an honest and average review on this one after all recommendations I read before going.
I believe there could be good parties there some nights with a good ambience and alright music. The staffs are very friendly which I really appreciate. However, below are what in my opinion can be improved.
We did not mind the electricity outage since we craved for a good meal. But I almost got tripped by an umbrella lying on the floor whe walking out from the bathroom in the darkness.
The water faucet was classic. It fell off on my arms while I was washing my hands.
Fresh cloth is always required to clean the tables, not the smelly ones.
My partner ordered a beef burrito thinking it was a safe choice. He was served with basically a cold rice salad wrap. Only the beef was heated up a little. He could barely finished half of it and came back with bad stomach cramps and good toilet moments.
I ordered a crispy taco with grilled prawns and a soft taco with grilled lamb. The waitress brought me a soft taco with grilled prawns. I voiced up and she told me the order got messed up, so I said no problem for a crispy taco with grilled lamb. In the end, I got a crispy taco with grill prawns as well. Well done. Also, the prawns are seasoned really salted with the spices.
The Soju margarita bomb and the Coronarita bomb tasted just like Soju and Corona with ice. And RM70 each is top dollars for a city like KK. We haven't talked about the 10% service and 6% tax yet.
Hope it helps to lower the expectations for what you can...
Read moreMuch love to this place! -Firstly, their restaurant decor are bomb, very true to mexican vibes! -Secondly, their food are soooo good! Love their tacos (don't forget to ask for hot sauce when you order some tacos!). Would recommend the fish one as once you bite on it, the crunchiness of their fried battered fish accompanied with marinated purple cabbages and also their lime aioli compliments all together very well in the soft chewy tortilla, and of course with some hint of hot sauce, just yum! -Love their quesadillas as well! Quite a dish, kids love it, adults love it, literally everyone loves quesadillas! I love the chicken ones, the flavor of it were spot on and eat it while is hot to get the lonooong cheese pull. :)
But then there are some downsides as well...
-The price I must say, it was above average for me, even I want to visit this place oftenly as I wish but then I must consider my wallet's feelings too haha. -And also, their juices, watermelon juice, pineapple juices and etc... are so bland! Tasted like water with abit of juice flavor :/ -And the spaghetti aglio olio, sigh RM18 for simple pasta dish with no meats or prawns or whatever, I mean they can do better. Eventho the flavor was good but in other places I can find better aglio olio with some BIG PRAWNS or some CHICKEN SLICES or even MUSHROOOOOM. Just saying...
Overall, I love this place, would want to visit again next time to try out their Enchiladas and of course some...
