I’m sorry to leave a bad review but I hope it would help the future foreigners who are looking for something vegetarian or vegan to eat.
We have been eating here for the second time today and we had two dishes from the buffet. The lady said us the price we were surprised: 23rm for two small dishes when the other day we spent 17rm for two definitely bigger dishes. When we asked why the price was so high she got upset saying (pointing at the smaller dish costing 10rm according to her) that the portion of rice is 2rm, a spoon of green veggies is 4rm and a spoon of curry is other 4rm. It is a shame not just for the price but mainly for the poor attitude: she increased the price just because we are not local!
We waited to see the man after us how much was paying (he had a very similar to the “10rm” one) and she said to him to go to eat the dish without giving him his correct change to not show us he was paying less! At the end he went to the counter and got 3rm back with her mumbling and laughing = he paid 7rm.
It is not something about money to us but it is more about respect...

Read moreFinally tried this. The restaurant definitely operates for many years with the tasty food & very reasonable price. White rice 3 veg (no mock meat is cheaper) rm7 for mix/economic rice with brown rice option. The fried spring roll likely homemade coz first time i saw only turnip & little long bean in it (usually turnip mix with mushroom & carrot). A stall offering variety of noodles soup & steamed bun. They sell frozen mock veg, packed food like burger, chicken rice, nasi lemak, steamed popiah (spring roll) & etc. situated exactly opposite penang road police station. There are at least 2 others vegetarian restaurants surrounding the police station that offers similar tasty (long operated) & price reasonable food. From burma road towards new world park or further many others vegetarian restaurants which are more new, trendy & slightly higher yet...
