What a hidden gem!

Who could have thought that one of the best Koey Teow Tn'ng in Penang is a Kopitiam in disguise!

I came to this place in a random search for a late lunch. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the uncle and aunt who run this place.

The menu is minimalistic and focused, so a brief browse later, I ordered Koey Teow Tn'ng, Braised Chicken Feet and Buah Kedondong juice.

Immediately upon tasting the juice, I know I came to a real deal place, as the juice is freshly pressed, for 3.5RM?!

Then came the main courses.

The Koey Teow Tn'ng has a big quantity of different meats in it, I counted chicken, pork mince cake, fish and pork balls. The soup is special as it is very thick chicken soup, you can almost smell the fragrance of the fat from a distance, and the large amount of lightly fried garlic minces added another layer of flavour to it.

Some people may not like the fact that soy sauce was added to the soup, but this is the old school way of doing it.

The chicken feet are very good too, the potion is decent and the flavour is totally infused into even the bones of it.

I feel I should have come to this place earlier, as I am such a big fan of Koey Teow Tn'ng, but it is also not so easy to be found due to its low-key presence.

A very old school type of coffeeshop. According to the auntie they have moved here from another location for 6mths already.

Ordered the toast with Butter and Kaya and toast with butter and half boil eggs on top. The toast are very well done, very crispy as though it's deep fried snack but it's not.

Hainan coffee is a must to order, very fragrant.

Service is 10/10, the auntie speaks very good english and their menu comes in english as well.

There is option for CKT as well but didnt try hence can't comment on the taste.

At first, I was eager to try this place for breakfast since it have plenty of good reviews. However, I'm utterly disappointed. As when it's our turn to sit, we have been informed that only the toast bread and half boiled egg is available today and there is no more ice left for cold drink. I really wish they could have informed it earlier to those queueing up that's the only thing left in the menu as I'm sure most of the customer are here to try out their nasi lemak or nasi goreng.
