We were intending to come here and instead stopped at the real Naina’s Roti Bakar and Nasi Lemak at the corner of Transfer and Jalan Sri Bahari. That place has the best food we have had in Malaysia - everything was fresh, hot, and the gravies were so flavorful with the perfect spice. Good price, and delicious Telur Goyang as well with fast, kind service. It doesn’t show up on google maps for some reason but if it did i would give it a 5 star! The pictures I’ve posted are for that location.

We then walked to this location up the road because we wanted to try it also. We asked if we should sit or if we needed to order then sit. We were told to sit and ignored for 10 minutes. It seemed chaotic with people just running around. Someone finally asked us if we wanted tea so we ordered 2. Never came back. Another 10 minutes later we went to ask someone how we should order and he followed us back to the table and took our order and again asked if we wanted tea. We told him we already ordered and he said he’d go check. Never came back, never saw any food being served to anyone. Another 5 minutes later we got up and left - they didn’t even make eye contact with us or ask us to stay. Worst service. I think some of the reviews and pictures others have left have been for the real location - I recognize the man who served us great food. I hope everyone reading this goes to that...

Thoroughly enjoyed this visit to the famous Roti Bakar (Toasted bread). Even though the place is warm and noisy by the roadside, and no ambience to speak of, it retains a piece of the disappearing old familiarity, and is oddly attractive experience.

The speciality is the effect half boiled runny eggs they put on the toast. They bring the open kitchen concept to the roadside, or rather, straight from the old days, bringing back a piece of history to life. Watching the food preparation is worth the visit already.

It’s fun to shake the eggs on the toast. Good traditional breakfast. Also ordered the roti banjir (flooded roti) or from the stall there, topped up with a whole leg in curry. It was quite ok.

The experience puts a smile on my face, every time I see the...

We had bad experience here. We went to this place after reading the reviews in Google. But then we were told to sit and ignored for 10 minutes. The crowd wasn't like the Roti Canai Transfer Road that day. No one ever came to take the order. After waited for another 10 minutes later we went to ask someone how we should order and he said please be seated we will come to take order. We waited again! No one came to take order. We just took few packs of nasi lemak and had them. We called someone to take order for the drinks, but he ignores us. We wasted our time more than 30mins just to taste their food because of the reviews in Google, but the service was bad.Food looks good! But we are not lucky to taste...

This is way, way better than the famous jiran, Roti Canai Transfer Road which might have fallen in its own arrogant sword years ago. But the prices are about the same, about RM18 for two people. Maybe a bit more expensive because I didn't have anything with meat. So I think that it is still overpriced. You might dine in here with Pak Mahathir in the corner on the wall. His presence was unavoidable. If I had to choose between the two roti canai in Transfer Road, of course I'd choose this one. But that's like saying choosing between getting slapped by a ping pong bat or a baseball bat.
