44 上海小笼包 Shanghainese Steamed Pork Dumplings (4 Pieces) = RM13.80 56 猪排炒饭 Fried Rice with Deep-fried Pork Chop = RM30.80 Wet Towel = RM1.00 Service Charge 10% = RM4.56 SST Tax 6% = RM2.74 This is a Chinese Restaurant. Beautifully Renovated, it takes up a Relatively Large Area with about 17 Tables. The Place is Atas Looking and Cleanly Well Maintained. Protip: There is a Very Nice Balcony Seating that has a Magnificent View of the Mall. You can see how it looks like in the Photo Collection. I highly recommend that you request for this Seat because I felt the Nice View added alot and Enhanced my Dining Experience. Although there weren't much Customers when I was there at 11.00am on a Thursday, I was very surprised to see a Super Long Queue when I finished my Meal and left. I think this is the 1st time I've seen such a Massive Queue for this Restaurant. No idea why it suddenly 爆满 that day. The Staff were Dressed Smartly and behaved Professionally as you'd expect from a Atas Level Restaurant like this. Chargeable Items to take Note As with any Atas Higher End Restaurant like this, there are of course Small Items that are Chargeable. If this is someting that concerns you, you might want to take note of them. 1) Wet Towel on the Table is a Chargeable Item in the Final Bill whether you use it or not. 2) The Staffs will try to Soft-Sell a Small Plate of Braised Peanuts Appetizer. If you don't want to pay for this, go ahead and reject them. Review of the Condiments and Sauces No Complaints about the Soy Sauce here. It has a Good Quality Taste that is suitable for a Higher End Restoran like this. Doesn't taste like they anyhow get something from a Supermarket type. The Chilli Oil in their Sambal Condiment is Solid. It has a Slight Spicy Fume and although has an Initial Elevated Level of Spiciness, it doesn't linger long. I like the Strong Haebee Presence with a Gritty Texture and Slightly Saltish Taste. The Main Signature Specialty in this Place seems to be Peking Duck. Unfortunately there are no Smaller Solo Portions. If you want to try this, your only option is to buy the Whole Duck. Due to Text Limit Constraints, I won't go into details describing every Ingredient I ordered here. If you are interested to know more, come visit my Facebook Food Blog: "A Solo Singaporean's Guide to JB Foods (And More!)" to view the Full Review with Photos.

Chinese centric restaurant serving chinese authentic cuisines. Crowded almost all time, situated inside JB City Square mall near many others fancy eateries (Canton-I, Din Tai Fung) & fast food restaurants (KFC, Texas, etc). Near other retail and famous clothing stores. Although I did not enjoy their infamous signature Peking Duck, I found the quality of the food especially other dishes that i had were outstanding & delicious. Prices were a bit too expensive for us but the dining experience does met the our standard (especially the food). Variety of foods (vegetarian-friendly dishes like tofu & Vegetables) but limited to Chinese cuisines only. Nothing extraordinary on the beverages. Very clean and fancy decorations, giving a very fancy dining experience but the lightings were a bit dark for me. Always crowded plus small space restaurant made us a bit uncomfortable at first and the environment was a bit chit chatty because of other customers (as expected). Customer services can be improved. A bit slow and not systematic (but understandable due to the crowd). Recommended.

We ordered a whole crispy duck for our dinner. When the duck was served, we were surprised to see that the portion was visibly less than a whole duck. When we enquired from the team leader ( the tall and slimmer guy), he insisted that it was the whole duck. So, giving him the benefit of doubt we continued our dinner. However, we were getting more and more confused when the pieces of the served portion were obviously not the whole duck. There were only two pieces of the backbones, a piece if the ribs, 4 pieces of the neck, two pieces of the wing drum stick, two parts of the thighs, and nothing else. You could count the number of pieces from the attached photos. At the end of the dinner, I could hardly hold in my confusion and curiosity - did the duck actually had some special skill that it could shrink its bones, or the duck had so much soft bones that were dissolved when they fried it - and I felt that I had to solve the mystery. Once again I called for the team leader (this time the shorter and plumper guy) and enquired from him. He is more helpful and honest to admit that the number of pieces did not add up. This is not the first time we ate at the restaurant. We were regular customers. It is disappointing to have such unpleasant experience when we wanted to use the opportunity to celebrate mother’s day for my mum and my sister. I would kindly ask the responsible party to investigate and maybe provide an answer to this mystery. As much as we enjoyed the food each time we visited the restaurant, tonight’s experience had really and seriously made a dent in our decision to visit this restaurant again.

First time here based on the rave reviews, definitely didn't meet the expectations. Here's why. Food: All dishes ordered were served warm, strangely. Even for the soup noodle, it's not pipping hot and it's really just... Strange... Is the food prepared overnight or something? Even for the stir fried orders they were served warm and not hot as expected. Pork chop fried rice were below par and the spicy wanton was not spicy at all. Worse still, as you can see from the photo taken, the wanton skin sticked altogether, very letdown by it. DTF is much better based on the same dishes, especially the pork chop. Service: When I arrived here at about 11:30am and have my orders taken at 11:39am, there were not a lot of customers yet. However, serving was very slow, first order served more than 13 minutes later. A major letdown again. Atmosphere: Nicely set-up and cosy ambience. There were ample spaces between seats and tables. Menu urgently need to be reprint - The pages are falling off and torn in some of them. As an upmarket Chinese restaurant, the management and operational teams can do a lot better to enhance the experience of diners. The price of the menus here are not the usual fares and it's upmarket. With such a high price tag and similar menus to alternative Chinese restaurants within the same premises, and based on my reputation as a food reviewer on Google Map, I strongly don't recommend Dragon-i based on the negative experience, and the dishes certainly did not meet up expectations to both taste and price. DTF definitely a much better choice. Diners, you are advised and warned.

Terrible Hygiene! Please see the photo that speaks for itself. My family and I have been regular customers of Dragon-i and this is the first time we felt so disgusted after dining at your restaurant. The steaming basket for the peking duck pancakes were extremely moldy and dirty. When we brought this up to the manager Kang Zhen, his first reaction was that this is not mould, which absolutely enraged us as you can see the mould particles clearly in the photo. He then told us that the pancakes were not steamed in this basket which is clearly a lie as the entire basket was hot when i opened it previously. As a service recovery, Kang Zhen offered to waive the price of the peking duck but at the same time also wanted to take away the duck from our table even though our complain was about the food safety of the moldy steam baskets that the pancakes were steamed in. Is this how you treat your regular customers? He also mentioned that he “don’t dare” to serve us new pancakes - so rude as this is clearly not our fault but the restaurant for having such bad hygiene and poor food safety. Super disappointing. At the same time, we were supposed to get the rack of duck bones but only after we left, we realize that they did not even pack it for us. Luckily I managed to take a photo of the moldy steam basket as one of your female staff tried to prevent me from taking a picture. A very dishonest establishment, safe to say that we recommend all to avoid this restaurant at all costs. Update: I emailed dragon-i per their comment below and did not receive any updates yet.

Was long queue at 1.30pm, went back at 2.20pm with no queue and was informed need to order by 2.30pm, pay by 2.40pm,leave by 3.30pm.Our bad we didn't realise earlier that they close for afternoon break.Anyway we did order as soon as we sat down, and did managed to depart by 3.10lpm. Not sure why rating was so high for food & service. We ordered Lobster Yee Mee(龙虾伊面) Boiled Morel Mushroom soup(羊肚菌炖绣球), & Stir fried veg (素八鲜). The stir fried veg was first to arrive and tasted ok though the carrot strips was a bit tough for mum, the soup next to be served was disappointing, a small bowl of salty water with 2 pieces of the morel mushroom and a piece of tofu, not worth the price paid. Last to be served, the much anticipated lobster yee mee was another disappointment, although the noodles were tasty with the sauce used, the lobster itself was tasteless, overcooked and rubbery, We have to make full payment at ~2.49pm just before the lobster noodles arrived . After that there was no staff to be seen around. So service wise, almost nil. Guess staff were rushing to close for afternoon break. It was a very disappointing & pricey experience, it's our first time at City Sq and despite so many food outlets including the sister outlet Canton i, we decided to try Dragon I after reading the reviews. Hmmmm.......very sceptical now abt the reviews. Definitely not worth the price paid. Reply to Dragon I: as you can see in the posted image: Receipt with time & date
