My recent visit to Blue at EQ Skybar in Kuala Lumpur turned out to be quite the letdown, leaving me with a less than positive impression. With high hopes of enjoying both the view and the ambiance, I was met with a series of disappointments.
Arriving in the early evening, I was initially impressed by the modern decor and the promise of a spectacular view. However, the excitement quickly waned as I realized my table was left in complete darkness throughout the night. To make matters worse, I noticed that other patrons were provided with portable lights while I remained in the shadows.
Adding to the frustration was the experience with the cocktail I ordered, a smoked Negroni. The presentation, involving a glass bell cover, seemed promising at first. However, the unveiling was hasty and lacked the finesse one would expect from a top-tier establishment. The overall presentation felt cold and detached, undermining the potential enjoyment of the drink.
Despite my intention to indulge in a complete experience, I considered ordering some snacks to complement my evening. Regrettably, the staff's lack of attention persisted, as no one approached my table to take my order. This neglect left me feeling both overlooked and unsatisfied.
One aspect that somewhat lessened the disappointment was the reasonable pricing of the offerings. The affordability was a silver lining, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to counterbalance the overall negative experience. As the evening wore on, I found myself growing more disheartened by the minute.
In conclusion, my visit to Blue at EQ Skybar was far from the enjoyable experience I had anticipated. The initial allure of the modern decor and potential for breathtaking views were overshadowed by the consistent darkness at my table, the lackluster cocktail presentation, and the inattentive service. While the affordable pricing is noteworthy, it doesn't make up for the overall sense of disappointment. As much as I had hoped for a positive memory, I'm left with no intention of returning to Blue at EQ Skybar...
Read moreHad a really unpleasant experience during my visit to Blue at EQ. I went there with 3 other friends, and we order our drinks the moment upon our arrival. Can’t deny that the view was really pretty, my friends and I were engrossed in photo and video taking, and when we are done, it was about 20mins after our order, the drinks were not served, we tried checking with the staff and they told us that the drinks were in preparation. However, our side tables whom the customers came much later than us, their drinks were served shortly after their order.
After around 35min, only 3 of our orders were served, and they told us that the last order is still in preparation, which I do not quite understand that the bartender will take such a long time to prepare Classic Martini. After around 52min later, my Classic Martini was finally served. Another friend joined us around the timing that my drink was served, and his drink were served shortly after he ordered.
I was disappointed with my Classic Martini too. My drink did not come with the typical Martini glass, and there was no deco on it too, which I thought and I had tried Martini a lot of times at other bar too, it usually came garnished with an olive or a lemon twist, but there was nothing at all. It was even more disappointing after I took a sip of the drink, if not for the glass, I won’t know that if it was water or it was an alcoholic drink. I even got my friends to take a sip of my drink and they thought that I order plain water.
We tried checking with the bartender, but he couldn’t even answer me on the basic ingredients of Classic Martini, and when he finally apologized, he had the ‘SO WHAT’ attitude and did not seem to be sincere in his apology.
Was really disappointment with my experience for such a high-cost bar. Not only the service and the attitude of the staff were bad, even the drinks were not up to standard. Will never...

Since I know this is a five star hotel skybar, I have high expectations to this place.
When yesterday night I visit, it was full booked, I can't visit because I don't have Reservation. I understand and that's why I made a reservation tonight. And I ask your stuff It's my outfit Suitable for your dress code. She already mentioned that short pants and slipper cannot be allowed. (I'm wearing that in that moment. ) when I'm prepared to left,I see a foreign couples arrive. The man is wearing a short pants and slipper. Your stuff still let them go up. Is that Discriminate? (I'm a Chinese)
Tonight when I was arrived, Your host arrange me to a table. Not the nice view table but I understand that I just reservation yesterday. However no one provide the menu on the table and no one greeting me unless ten minutes after. I have to go to the bar to ask for the menu,to order and finally have to pay the bills at the bar by myself. Is that really a five star hotel service this? (I'm a single visitor, non-in house guest.)
And I see most of the table have the decoration light on the table but my table don't have. I have to use my own cell phone's flash light to look your menu. And it's so dark when my drink is arrived. I don't even have a light to enjoy. How beautiful of your drink is unless I use my own This cell phones light also.
That's why I only recommend 2 stars. Just because of your view can see the twins-towel and the other one. Is such a worst and disappointed experience for me...
