1. Boat noodles weren't served hot, not even warm. The noodles were dried and clumped together. Overall dish was incoherent in terms of taste and texture, didnt blend well. Thought the boat noodle bar would serve better quality but the bar just act as a front; nice looking but lack quality. 2. The fried kangkung was nice, but I didn't like the sauce it comes with. I asked for thai chili sauce and I liked it better. 3. I didn't order drinks. Midway eating I was coughing really bad cause the fried stuff got stuck in my throat. I was persistently coughing but no one bat an eye on me. I sat next to the cashier where 1 cashier, 1 bartender and most of the waiters are but no one gave me a cup of water to relieve my cough. Not sensitive to customer's needs. 4. I don't know why they keep ushering customers to sit on the right side of the shop, I wanted to sit at the left where the noodle bar was. There's a 4-step staircase connecting between left and right side. I think it's a work hazard as there might be high risk of waiter falling down when using tray to serve food. Whoever designed the staircase doesnt care about efficiency and failed to foresee potential risks. The staircase slows down waiters footstep when delivering food and presents risk of falling. 5. I ordered 3 items total bill RM21.90, I was full after finished eating.

This review is from a London expat in KL. I ordered pathumthani, an almost starter type broth based noodle bowl, pad thai, tom yum Chef Mai and sticky rice mango dessert. This is perhaps the only restaurant I have eaten at in KL where the portions were actually manageable. The price is hence lower but the restaurant does not skimp on taste. Thai food is my favourite cuisine and when it is done well, I am ever so thankful! I paid equivalent to less than 9GBP. The service from Aqil was lovely and swift. The pathumthali had a velvety broth with deep flavours and you can choose what kind of noodles you want in it. You also have the option of adding more toppings. This was 2 Ringitt and 50 cents! I could have two and that would be a sufficient meal. But being the food lover that I am, I ordered more and all were top notch. If I were to be a stereotypical Brit, I would suggest to serve the sticky rice and coconut milk warm to go with the cold ice cream and cool mango as they do in Thailand. Nevertheless, I recommend this place, highly. PS I did not take a picture of the pathumthani because my appetite did not let me!

If you're craving bold Thai flavors in fun portions, Boat Noodle never disappoints! I tried a mix of their signature dishes: Lava Egg Krapow, Ayutthaya Beef Rice & Spring Noodles, Pathumtani Beef Rice & Spring Noodles, and of course, the must-have Crispy Enoki Mushrooms. The Lava Egg Krapow was a standout – rich, spicy minced chicken topped with the perfect creamy lava egg. Every bite was satisfying and packed with heat! As for the noodles, both the Ayutthaya and Pathumtani broths had distinct tastes – the Ayutthaya was richer and slightly sweeter, while Pathumtani had a more herbal, peppery kick. Loved mixing both rice and spring noodles to experience different textures. Perfect for noodle lovers who like variety! The enoki mushrooms were crunchy and addictive – great as a side snack in between slurps of noodle bowls. With their playful small bowl concept, it's easy to explore multiple flavors without overcommitting to one dish. Highly recommended for casual meetups or Thai food cravings!

Staff trying to cheat at promotion !!

I have chance to eat at boat noodle quite often and I saw the box full of lucky draw card. We came with big group so the total price more than 60-70rm for sure. But the staff never inform us to pick the lucky draw card. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME !!

before this I have seen the box full of card around last year but that time the box write the rule to pick the card which we have to purchase more than 50rm then can pick 1 card BUT after we paid no the staff didn’t mention anything until I ask them Can I pick the card ? she said yes with her bad face expression all the time.

So, this time it’s happened again BUT the box didn’t put any paper about how minimum purchase can get the coupon UNTIL I HAVE TO ASK THE CASHIER BY MYSELF AGAIN WITH SAME QUESTION.

After that i came to the restaurant to use the coupon we have order everything as normal until the time for pay money. THE STAFF TOLD US THAT THE COUPON UNABLE TO USE BECAUSE THEY ALREADY AUTOMATICALLY ADDED PROMOTION FOR US !!! We have ask them what’s the promotion is that ? We want to use our coupon only. The staff say it’s automatically added for us since we start order. So, the total price we have to pay at first around 66rm after their discount will be around 58rm. I told him this is not promotion we wanted !!! I have coupon for free 8 boat noodle bowl how come you added others promotion for us without inform anything ???

AFTER THAT THE STAFF TRY TO RECALCULATE THE BILL AGAIN and so the price suppose to be 44rm

THE QUESTION IS: IF I DIDN’T FIGHT FOR MY RIGHTS THE STAFF WILL RECORRECT...
