RUDE FEMALE SERVER WITH BUN HAIRSTYLE!!! On the evening of December 19, 2024, between 7 and 8 PM, I ordered a Nasi Lemak Sambal Udang at this restaurant. After receiving my order and starting to eat, I noticed that the rice and sambal sauce were both cold. I understand that this time of day can be busy for restaurants, and that food is often stored in the fridge and reheated before being served to customers. Given that I had limited time to eat, I didn’t want to make an issue out of it. However, halfway through my meal, I realized something was wrong—I couldn’t find any shrimp. That’s when I realized the order had probably been mixed up by the staff.
The male server at the restaurant noticed the mistake and politely apologized to me, and helped communicate with the kitchen. However, at the kitchen counter, a female server with a bun hairstyle and colored contact lenses treated me very rudely. She told me, in a condescending tone, that I only realized it wasn’t the meal I ordered after eating half of it. This was only my second time dining at Bungkus Kaw Kaw, and my first time ordering Nasi Lemak Sambal Udang, so I wasn’t familiar with the dish. Yet, her tone made it seem as though she thought I was trying to get a free meal by returning the dish after eating half of it.
When my correct meal was finally ready, she showed no sign of apology and had a very poor attitude. She gestured rudely for me to pick up the meal, placing it heavily on the counter without a word, and didn’t even provide a tray. She didn’t address me politely or with any proper courtesy—just gestured in my direction.
I’m not expecting an apology, and I understand that mistakes happen, especially when the staff is busy, but basic courtesy and respectful service are what I expect. The two male servers were very helpful and polite in resolving the issue, but the female server with the bun hairstyle was unprofessional and rude. As someone who has worked in the service industry before, I can confidently say that she has not received proper service training. Even someone without formal training should still know how to treat customers with respect and...
Read moreFirst, let me review on the food and drinks. I would say the BKK's nasi lemak bungkus and drink's taste were above average and definitely much more appetising compared to the more popular kopitiam at KLCC that serves similar menu like nasi lemak, mee siam and kopi. I think that is probably the only compliment I can think of for BKK.
Now for the real deal. For the price of that fun-size nasi lemak, the nasi lemak is extremely child friendly. I think perhaps a 1 year old baby will feel full. I would believe 3.5 packs of the nasi lemak would equal a proper bowl of usual nasi lemak.
For its service, I would describe it as absolute horrendous and given the price paid, i believe eating at food court has probably better table cleaning service than this BKK. The waiting time for the food is extremely slow despite patronising the outlet at off peak hours. This is also commonly shared by other reviewers here.
For one who is easily hangry, I would urge you to go elsewhere to eat. However, if you haven't tried before, or a tourist who wants a try, I would say it's a good place for a fun-size food portion.
This almost hits my personal mark of Top 10 most not recommended restaurant for year 2023, but for its taste, it survives. I may edit my comment if I have bad after taste towards end...
Read moreBasically I would like update the my experienced at kaw kaw KLCC. Initially the counter staff update there is no nasilemak after I was queue for almost 20mins, not even a few seconds later she able to sell it to the next person after me.. its seems like she is not happy to serve customers ( other race) and show her racism towards customer. After I question back there is no any apologies from her at all. I'm a loyal customer to this shop since working around KLCC too. This will spoil the reputation of the shop by some of the misbehaving of staff towards customer. The management should take action and train the staff and must educate the staff how to prioritise customer service. Do inform customer if your food is finish atliz customer can find other alternative for their breakfast instead inform us once we reach to the counter. There is no efficient in their work!! Don't spoil your branding by hiring this kind of staff who providing service like uneducated, other branch service better then KLCC. KLCC outlet need alot of improvement in service as your a base in KLCC where is most visited place...
