A bustling pavement stall since 1988 offering chicken rice set at RM6.00. A booming voice greets you from the heir apparent cum cashier as he struts up and down his canopy enclosure like a hungry lone wolf. He greets all prospective customers as 'Leng Chai / Leng Lui' (Hey Good looking) and older females as 'Si Tao Por' (Lady Boss) as he constantly taps orders into his iPad. His burly Hakka mum commands the deck of Indon workers and occasionally intervenes when her old geriatric customers stroll in, looking ruffled after her son's loud salutation, and later shoos you off your overstayed welcome. The roast duck leaned towards dryness with a skin certainly crispered by a hot oil spa, while the roast pork was crunchy, buffeted by a salty three layered meat in the set rice (RM9.50). Soup of the day offered was an assortment of traditional steamed soups (RM6) with pork bones. The old cucumber soup was too sweetened by far with MSG, crowding out the twin red dates. The boy apologises that pig tail soup will only be back after the MCO. Closed on Sundays during MCO. Half a roast...

While the food is not bad here, I especially feel uncomfortable by the way the father, especially the son takes the order. Very rude.

Visited the stall alone and ordered a chicken rice. Be very careful not to be exploited when you are eating * alone*. The chicken the father took order for me was extra large and it charged rm14 when the receipt came. Rice also not included and charged me another rm1. 70.

Please ask clearly your order.

When the food is served, I ask the lady (believed to be the mother) the price to pay. The lady said another dish is coming. I said "NO". I did not order the sayur. Then the lady said, "OK OK nevermind."

Do not be ashemd to turn down their nonsense.

This is just not the way it should work.

Another time visited the stall with another relative. The son took the order. Realised that my relative is not eating, the son's face instantly turned black.

Not so bad food, very realistic and bad service when you order...

This place is overrated. Do not believe those so called social influencers or false reviewers that always giving the fake high rating. There's even a reviewer who said that this place is air-conditioned when the truth fact it's not. The first red flag is when asked for the menu the guy said that they do not have a menu price list. So you're forced to order your food through him without knowing the price. The second red flag is when ordered specifically for the chicken thighs, we're giving a mix of ribs and chicken breast meat together with it! Third, the small portion roasted pork and the char siu (bbq pork) doesn't match the price that you're paying. This place doesn't warrant any recommendations at all. And if you're around this Pudu area looking for roasted meat, you're better off eating at a normal kopitiam. There are plenty more here if you care to...

You’ll get an extremely loud guy taking your order and he’ll repeat your order so that the kitchen can hear directly perhaps? 😂 1. Roast chicken - slightly chewy texture indicative of some free range chicken. Taste wise however it wasn’t exceptional. I’d give it a 6 out of 10. 2. Roast Duck - good texture and good flavours. The insides were a bit salty and herbal which is a good thing in my books. This gets 7 out of 10. 3. Roast Pork - crunchy skin and moist flesh. This was actually my favourite and gets a 7 out of 10. 4. Char Siew - not my favourite. Lacking caramelisation and somewhat bland without the char siew sauce. This gets a 6 out of 10. 5. Rice was decent but not particularly flavourful. Overall a decent place for roast meats but with prices on the high side, there are better options in the Pudu area in my opinion.
