Only reason that this place is famous and full of good reviews is because the owner has good connections.
I went for with a friend and ordered some small bites and appetisers since we’re both small eaters (about 4 different dishes). The server insisted that food portion would be too small and not enough for us both, so he insisted us to order another main dish. We triple confirmed with him if the portion was THAT small and he confirmed. When the food came, the portion was in normal casual dining size and there was no space to fit all our orders. They had to combine the tables next to us lol. Sando was too oily, chowder were too salty, we complained to them but no apologies, the server just laughed awkwardly and told us that kitchen must’ve messed up today. It wasn’t even funny. First off, cocktail, I find their cocktail not very outstanding, so-so.
Food wise, I think it's a little too salty for me but not like its not tasty. Again, this based on personal tastebud. Yakitori may not be the best I had but again, decent.
I think the best food I had would be the Fresh Oyster. I've ordered both Lemongrass Oil and Kombu Oil, I personally love the latter. Both are good!
They are out of Uni Sea Burst but I ask the waitress what other option I have if I'm crave for Uni, Sushi handroll Uni option was suggested hence that's what I ordered, this is off the menu.
The scallop is charred but taste wise is too salty. Same goes to the Prawn and Crab Patty Sando.
