Visited Kenny Hills Bistro at Four Seasons KL on a Friday at around 11:00 AM with two others. The restaurant was only about half full at the time, offering a calm and unhurried setting. However, due to special reservations for the indoor main dining area, we were seated at the outdoor section. While the outdoor seating was semi-alfresco with tasteful decor, natural light, and potted greenery that created a relaxing atmosphere, it didn’t quite offer the full ambiance or cool comfort of the main indoor dining space.
I ordered the Angus Beef MB3 Ribeye (200g), priced at RM138, cooked medium and paired it with a premium foie gras slice as an add-on. According to the menu, this ribeye is prepared with burnt onion purée, roasted vegetables, and brown beef jus. The portion size was reasonable, and the steak was well-executed with a good sear and balanced seasoning. The foie gras added a rich, indulgent texture and depth of flavour, enhancing the overall experience. To accompany the meal, I had an iced chocolate, which was smooth, not overly sweet, and very refreshing—especially fitting for outdoor dining on a warm day.
Service was polite and attentive without being overbearing. Staff were accommodating even though part of the restaurant was reserved. Overall, the visit was a pleasant one—solid food, calm atmosphere, and professional service. I would consider returning, possibly with a reservation in advance to enjoy the full indoor dining ambiance.

Read moreReally anticipated this place but left with much disappointment.
One of the waitresses was passive aggressive, gave different treatment to some of my friends, and was gaslighting me (I am still mentally affected but felt better when my friends pointed out that she was gaslighting me).
My friend bought a slice of cake from outside for our friend's birthday - not knowing that Kenny's serve cake as well.
It was went we were finishing then the waitresses came up and said no outside food and charges will incur. When I mentioned that we were not aware, and if we can waive the charge, she said no you guys are finishing already anyways - in a rude, and condescending tone.
And the charges was RM 55.
Issue was we did ordered pastry and after we finished our mains, I wanted to get the waiters to serve the pastry but cant get any attention.
That was when we decided to open up the sliced cake and eat.
As we were starting to eat the cake - the waitresses came to serve pastry but did not mention anything about the charges.
She decided to highlight when we are finishing.
When we asked for the bill, waitress only handed me the pos machine to wave and did not show the bill. It was when I requested for it then I realised the charges was RM 55 for bringing outside cake.
Tried to rationalise with the waitress, asking to waive the bill as we are first time customer, and that the waiters did not do their due diligence to inform prior.
I was told that this is the company policy and we should follow, I am not "entitled" to talk to the manager and this is instruction from the manager to charge us.
After much "rationalisation", she ended up waiving the charges but waitress left the table saying, "no need to pay, I will pay for it."
Which makes me felt bad and pissed that she intentionally make me feel bad and I still feel bad nontheless.
All beings deserves equal respect and if we can do so, why can't the waiters do the same in return?
Still interested to know the basis behind the RM 55 charges.
A bit of food review, since I came for the food afterall.
Risotto was edible - lacking a bit of flavour. Definitely nothing like the ones in Italy.
Cabonara was mediocore - seasoning was toned down to acclimate to Malaysians' tastebud.
Iced Matcha - nothing to shout about but loved it.
Truffle fries - not a fan of truffle and fries but definitely good if you love truffles.
Peach strudel - Came just for this, but pastry wasnt flaky at all. The combined texture and taste of cream, peach, and pastry doesnt blend well. That being said, I have a stringent criteria on what's a...

The initial plan was to just get coffee and pastry at kenny hills cafe in klcc but unfortunately place was packed (at 6ish pm) so they recommended the other outlet. They said it was nearby!! My definition of nearby is less walking - it turned out u need to walk farther a bit, go out from klcc cross the road and kenny hills bistro is situated in four seasons. Near for most ppl, far for me lol
Anyways, food was good (especialt when someone is treating). Problem is options not so many and the prices were slightly on the high side, so us being nice malaysian took long to decide although the boss who was treating said we can order whatever we want lol
So what we finally decided on (sharing for 6pax) Grilled chicken salad - goood, cheese powder on top was generous yummyy. If i come again, i will order this lol and no i dont or close to never order salad as just my only dish Seafood & crab aglio olio - simple and good, didnt see the crab though (this we had two servings) Sarawak black pepper chicken thigh - it was okay Pan-roasted seabass - oklah, prefer the skin to be more crispy
Then we had coffee and dessert from the bakery Key lime pie - this is a must must. Looks can be decieving, looks normal but tasted awesome. In the end we had three of these Yuzu citrus tart - too sour for us. Didnt like it Peach strudel - nice Biscoff cheesecake - didn’t manage to taste but they said it was too thick and sweet (we did not even finished this but still added the key lime pie 😂)
The ambience - oklah. Since theres 6 of us they wanted to give a bigger longer table but we insisted on sitting at a smaller table which was more cosier and good for chatting
Service - a bit lacking in my opinion. The attending staff was friendly though and helpful. But they did not prepare proper cutleries even after taking the order. And was not so attentove and a bit hard to get their attention afterwards.
So will i come again - depends. A confirm yes especially if someone else is treating lol and if im staying in four season- definitely will drop by, but to walk there maybe not as there are other as nice place in klcc which requires...
