Better than I had expected for pork free because it is very fresh.

Service is below par for a 5 star establishment. It’s not bad, it’s just not good enough. It’s almost impossible to contact the hotel, or the resto. There was one day I called over 10x, no reply. Had to contact Live agent which also took a long time to respond. The hotel seems totally uncontactable, unless you’re lucky.

They kept saying how full it is & would not take bookings even 1 day ahead but the resto was half empty when I was there??! It was busy but still many empty tables. I booked one week ahead, and yet they asked if they could turn my table within 1.5 hour dining. Isn’t that unacceptable for a 5 star hotel?

Asked for a table by the window it is apparently occupied. We were here from 11am and left at close to 2pm - the table was unoccupied the whole time. Where is the so-called diner who booked the table?

Asked for side table they also didn’t allow citing people booked - those who came in later could pick their table with no hesitation. They were not allocated that table anyway. Not all side tables were occupied. They were just anyway being difficult.

Asked for wet tissue, it was apparently a difficult thing to get. Finally they brought wet towel but only 1 pax. Why one and not 2 since we have 2 diners??? The point is why get yourself shot instead of doing the right thing? Just bring 2 even tho 1 asked for it. Silly.

Wait staffs were constantly busy getting work done & never bothered to ask if the food was ok. Only the guy who took the order interacted with us a little bit more - the rest won’t even bother. Just plain expressionless face, get things done & that’s it. I don’t expect any conversation but for a 5 star hotel, at least check if ur diners are ok, anything else to add, do you need anything, refill tea, etc. NONE of that…

As we left nobody at the concierge even said how was it, thanks for coming and all the usual courtesy stuff. They were busy on their phones.

Like I said the service isn’t bad, it just isn’t good enough / subpar for a...

It's one thing to do Chinese food well. It's another thing to do Chinese food well without using pork. Well-executed Cantonese cuisine with a creative use of high-quality ingredients.

Amuse-bouche of vinegar marinated fungus - crunchy, refreshing and appetising. A perfect way to start off the meal.

Signature wok-fried carrot cake - one of the best carrot cakes tasted. Texture of the cake was just right, cleverly complemented with crispy fried dough fritters and "har mai". Standout dish.

Cereal aubergine appetiser with cordyceps flower - deep-fried perfections playfully coated with cereal flakes. Not just for the kids to enjoy.

Har Gau (Prawn dumpling) - fresh, juicy and plump prawns stuffed inside skins that don't break apart easily. No complaints for one of the two core dishes of every dim sum restaurant.

Truffle mushroom turnip/chestnut dumpling - rich truffle taste with an interesting crunchy filling. Truffle-lovers will like this.

Wu Gok (Yam Puff) - one of the best yam puffs tasted. It may look just like an ordinary wu gok. But don't let looks fool you. So good you would not even realise you are eating vegetarian ham! Another standout dish.

Lobster broth dumpling - a must order if you are a fan of lobster. But the best part was surprisingly the lone scallop swimming in the broth, which was bursting in flavour.

Lau Sah Pau (Salted egg yolk custard bun) - personally the best dish today and best rendition of the dish in Malaysia. Would travel out of the way just for this. A less messy way to enjoy this is by tilting the pau upside down and poking a small hole in the middle with your chopstick to let it cool down. Otherwise, you will have to deal with the hot creamy yolky goodness that lie in ambush as you take your first bite. Needless to say, another standout dish.

Nice view. Comfortable environment. Attentive service. No...

If only google as a negative star rating, one star is too much

they changed to Chinese New year menu where the dimsum choices is extremely limited, short of staff, only one floor staff to take orders, serve food, settling the bill and clean the tables for more than 10 tables of guests. Most of the tables have more than 3 guests and some with 8 guests. No attention given, no services given, food is just normal and some dish is such yucks, but with the price paid, with no service at all, it's definitely not worth the value.

ordered seafood porridge Price: 4 stars Taste: 0 star -- full bowl of hot water, with two spoons of rice, can barely find the rice, so ended up the baby is having full bowl of rice water. About the seafood part, it's just one not so fresh boiled prawn, 2 scallops and one tiny slice of fish added into the bowl of tasteless rice water.

siu mai & prawn dumpling Price: 5 stars Taste: 1 star -- can't recall the taste, but served with few soggy/ not fresh roe on top

abalone tart Price: 5 stars Taste: 0 star -- it's just some canned over steamed abalone with not fully cooked and hard and tasteless tart skin . no sauce on abalone. chef is not putting single effort in this dish.

fried lor bak cake Price: 5 stars Taste: 4 stars -- at least something that can be eaten

ordered several more dishes, can't recall at all.

When it comes to settling the bill, the staff did not inform that some credit cards has a 15% discount. I was only told there is a discount after I pass a card to the staff and came back with a discounted bill, and I asked why the total is different, and the staff was telling me like oh yea, the card you provided has a 15% discount. GOOD JOB! SHOULD I SAID...

Admittedly I was skeptical of the raving reviews but my first visit turned out fairly impressive. There is a slight difference having dimsum here comparing to other Chinese restaurant franchises in Klang valley as the chef manages to bring out the original flavour of the ingredients used in each dish without using too much seasoning. At rm48 per piece their xiaolongbao might be shockingly expensive and off putting but the size of it justifies the price point. The soup is infused with rich crab essence with decent amount of meat. Siewmai was alright, but I must say it’s pretty impressive that it tastes exactly like pork. Shrimp dumpling stood out the most in my opinion as it was the most flavourful among the dimsum dishes I ordered. Reluctantly ordered beancurt skin roll as my friend likes fried dishes but was pleasantly surprised by the portion and texture. It’s not as oily and wet comparing to the other stores I’ve tried so far. (Oriental group restaurants, hawker stores etc) Personally find their bird nest tart too sweet to my liking but I did appreciate the perfect texture of the shell and fillings. Scallop dumpling is this weekends special. Tables are decently spaced out from each other. Overall, worth trying at least once if you happen to pass by. Ideal place for an occasional treat. Come here with an open mind and an empty belly! Ps: maybank credit card holders are entitled for 15 percent off.
