The best food court in all of Malaysia! I genuinely think the food is too cheap here (🥲). Especially that other hawkers outside are charging much higher prices for smaller portion sizes (not to forget this is in a five star hotel in the heart of KL). Very delicious, big portions, lots of meat and fillings, clean, airconditioned, proper hand wash area and….. in the Four Seasons (?!). Years ago when the Lot 10 Hutong opened, that was my go-to place but over the years, I found that the food taste definitely degraded and food there became pretty gross. Thankfully we now have this Food Village
Must-have: Cendol RM 3.80
Best cendol in Malaysia. I never found the Penang-raved cendols to be any good at all, in comparison to what my grandma made since I was little. 30+ years later I finally found one as good as hers/even better. What does it for me is the fragrant and generous gula melaka — the best !
Curry mee (I forgot the price but it’s too cheap for what it is)
Delicious soup with lots of flavourful spices (okay tbh sometimes when I come, the soup is a bit diluted but most of the time it’s okay). Full of large chicken pieces. Many pieces of beautifully-made siew yoke (the skin is still crispy though soaked in soup). Fried pork skin. Lots of tau foo pok. Beansprouts. Very hearty ♥️
Char kuay teow (also forgot the price but too cheap)
There are better CKTs in Malaysia but this one is still good. I like CKT dry, with “wok hei” and less sauce. This one is a bit wet and too dark for my liking. But overall, taste is 8/10. The same stall also has fried oysters (oh chien) which is better than the CKT in my opinion. The fried carrot cake is quite good too with “choy po” (a bit sweet with the “choy po” addition)
Yet to try the others ! (My mom says the fruit rojak is...
Read moreThis non- halal food court in the basement of the Four Seasons Shoppes arcade is clean and spacious. Decked out like a small enclave in any Chinatown, a dozen or more stalls sell a variety of meals from rice to noodles to dessert. It’s convenient and centrally located. While prices are reasonable for the set up… air conditioned and a team of staff who diligently clean and clear the tables, the food quality varies. The curry noodles use to be good but today, judging from the photo, I give it a 2 out of 5! Soup was lukewarm. Hardly any garnish. A few pieces of chicken thrown in for good measure. The pork ball noodles was tasty yet again, lacked the garnish and presentation to bring it a few levels up. If only the stall owners here could bring their game up by delivering a great product rather than something bordering on mediocrity, this could have been a fantastic dining concept. Outside lunch hour, the entire place is empty. A missed opportunity but give it a try… it’s...
Read moreThe Food Court has a variety of famous local foods. The taste is above average however the contents of each dish is little hence it does not complete the food experience, apart from the slightly smaller food portion compared to other food court. There is the Duck Rice as well with its surprisingly bland taste, it's a fail dish. Claypot Chicken Rice that was tasty previously is now bland. Food preparation is not consistent. I noticed a fly in the Food Prep Area as well for the Asam Laksa dish. Curry Laksa & Cendol is recommended. The Prawn Mee is also recommended for its good prawn taste soup with springy prawn. This Food Court can be especially crowded during lunch hour. Easily found at the lowest floor close to the escalator. Previously named as Malaysia Boleh at Four Seasons, now is named Malaysia Food Village...
