I had high expectations as this restaurant is on the Michelin Guide 2024. I came for a lunch with a few colleagues on a weekday. I suggest making a reservation prior to your visit or come earlier before lunch time as the queue can be quite long. They have indoor and (limited) outdoor seatings. They accommodate the bigger groups inside while smaller groups are seated outside.

Their menu is quite varied with reasonable prices (lunch menu are priced between RM11.90 to RM12.90, but without drinks). Their famous dish is the nyonya laksa, looks appetising but I did not get the chance to try it. I had their ayam berempah, which is in my opinion, a fusion between rendang and curry. Personally, it was just okay, it wasn’t mind-blowing delicious. Their satay is also just ok. We were all surprised with their cucur udang as it came looking like rojak (there were cucumbers, tempeh, fishball, etc) but with chilli sauce on top. We couldn’t find any udang in the dish and the cucur itself is soggy from the sauce. That was the least favourite dish. The cendol was good.

Service was excellent. We had around 40 minutes to dine in as the table given to us was reserved afterwards. Food came quick and the waiter/waitress were friendly.

Despite the busyness, the place wasn’t too noisy so we still could converse with each other. The interior and decorations were also interesting.

Overall, I did enjoy my time here despite the average tasting food. Will come back to try the...

Venue: 5 minutes walk from Medan Tuanku Monorail starion or Dang Wangi MRT station (Red line). Vintage style Chinese design in an old house. Recommended to book for air-conditioned indoors dining. The outdoor dining area is usually for walk-in diners. Causal rustic setting ourdoors with very small tables. Good vibes. 2 unisex toilets. --- 7.35/10 Service: Busy. To be seated. Write down your order on the order slip, then pass it to the staff. Can order add-on verbally. Food served very fast. Utensils and serviette are already placedvon each table. Polite and smart staff. Proactively gave us bowls for sharing. Pay at the front desk. --- 7.3/10 F&B: English menu with photos. Normal presentation. Good portion. Reasonable prices, +10% service charge. Ice Barley, MYR 4.5: good Ice Lemon Tea, RM6.8 with lemon slices: ok Pai Tee, MYR 14/4pcs: served with chili sauce. Add chili sauce to elevate the flavor. Crispy cups. --- 8/10 Nyonya Laksa, MYR 18.9: There were 3 fishcakes, 3 fishballs, 3 tofu puffs, 2 small prawns, 1 half-cut boiled egg, shredded chicken, 2 Gareth, rice Vermicelli, and yellow noodles. Rich and thick spicy laksa soup. --- 7.7/10 Nyonya Sate, MYR 23.8/6 skewers: chicken only. Well-maintained. Not overcooked. Moist inside. Served with homemade peanut sauce, red onions, cucumber cubes and rice cakes. Outstanding dishes. --- 9/10 ABC, MYR 5.9: very crunchy peanuts on the top. Grass Jelly and Cendol were on the...

Very confusing and worst service I have ever experienced. First we came and the waitress told us that we cannot sit inside (fully booked inside), she didn't offer on her own to us that we can sit outside, we asked for it on our own, then she said Yes, she gave us the menu, after we checked menu, she came one more time and asked us if maybe we would like to come tomorrow 😅 we were very confused, she literally didn't want to work or what, why was she ask us this question? Finally we ordered, but all the service and ordering was more like we asked for it, because waitress was very RESISTANT person. And as I heard she miscommunicate with many customers. I bet that many people is leaving without ordering, as the first message which you receive is "we are fully booked, no sitting inside". No one is mentioning that please take a sit outside, you need to ask and literally push on them. If waitress is like that it is not only bad for customers, but also for the owner and business :) food was ok, soup was spicy with many ingridients, the starter was nice intro, desserts were so so, fresh juices were really good. Also the service has problem with cleaning tables and giving next dish. There were 5 waiters and 5 tables with customers, we waited more than 25 mins, after finishing main course for just cleaning after, in the end we asked politely for desserts as there was no sign than any waitress will come clean and give dessert on her own. Service...

The moment I entered the place, I knew there's something special. And I was not wrong. The place checked everything you can ask for from the restaurant. The food, the ambience, the service and the location. The must try Nyona Laksa was superb. It was flavorful, tasty and filling. The staffs we're prompt and well trained. And I had a chance to speak to the owner who seemed very pleasant and passionate about the food and legacy of the place. I'd visit Limapulo again and I highly recommend it too.
