Most underwhelming buffet experience ever.

TL;DR If you are looking for a fancy date, this place is not it. Unless you want to enjoy a buffet with a food court setting Food is just meh, best thing was legit their watermelon. Very sweet I'll give them that. Service is beyond horrible, if you enjoy carrying your own plates and clearing your own table then this place is for you. Where to place the plates? Who knows just chuck it somewhere.

Pros: 1 star for good fruits and coffee (coffee machine makes decent coffee and there are flavoured syrup to spice up your coffee).

Cons: First of all, the placement of tables in this establishment reminded me of the kind of placement you would see in a food court. Not sure if this is the common placement or something out of the ordinary but there were tables all over the place, even up to the escalators and lifts. So not fancy. From that point on my expectations for this place already drastically lowered.

Secondly, there were very limited selections of food, alot of which were overcooked, dishes with beef or most meat in general were dry and tough. Also do your staffs even know what prawn noodles are? Noodle section had prawn noodles written on the signage, but when attempting to order I was asked, "What soup do you want?" "Chicken or vegetable soup?" Never have I ever been more confused. I ended up with a bowl of plain noodle soup with like a few mini prawns which I assume resembles the "prawn" in prawn noodles lmfao.

Third and maybe THE WORST is the service. I have never been to a buffet dining where I am required to send my own plates to what I assume is not even a place for dirty dishes?? (Forgot to take a pic of it) Just that maybe one of the customers started stacking dishes on a random corner because no one were clearing dirty dishes and then everyone else decided to do it and hence your service staff felt like they didn't need to do their plate clearing duties? I literally see so many other customers walking around with dirty dishes while your staffs were just chit chatting at the entrance. They only cleared tables of customers who already left and they do it sitting down....???? I had to personally request them to clear the mountains of dirty cups and plates on our table when I had enough of carrying the plates myself.

Also don't your staffs get lunch breaks?? I caught them snacking on leftovers off of customers' plates, multiple times. FEED YOUR STAFF.

This is by far one of the worst of any buffet dining I've...

We visited Nook twice in one week and had mixed experiences.

24 September 2025 (Lunch) My husband finally got to enjoy his favourite Nook Burger, which he’s been craving for ages. I tried the Crab Meat Fried Rice, but it was a little bland. I asked for cili potong with kicap, but the staff said they didn’t have it and brought cili jeruk instead. A bit pelik, but I just went along with it.

I also ordered a Cappuccino, which came half-filled at first, but the staff quickly apologised and topped it up. Good service recovery.

We wanted to order pizza, but it wasn’t available, so we added Squid Rings instead. To end the meal, we tapao a 1kg chocolate cake. It was dense, rich, and super chocolatey. Definitely recommended for chocolate lovers.

28 September (Dinner) We came back after the TCE Baby Expo, too tired to think much about food. I ordered the Nook Burger this time, and now I completely understand why my husband swears it’s the best. He’s had burgers at Gastro LMKL, Living Room Westin, Substance Courtyard KL South, and The Mesh FPKLCC, but still says Nook’s is number one, and I agree. I even asked for extra BBQ sauce because the standard portion wasn’t enough for me.

I also ordered the Frutti De Mare Pizza (seafood pizza), which wasn’t available during our first visit. Unfortunately, this was a letdown. It smelled and tasted very fishy, and even the prawns were hanyir. The pizza dough was great, but the seafood toppings ruined it for me. I ended up removing the toppings and just eating the base. I shared my feedback via WhatsApp, and the team was quick to acknowledge and apologise, which I appreciated. No compensation was offered by the way.

👉 Overall, Nook’s highlight is definitely the Nook Burger and chocolate cake. The pizza, on the other hand, really needs...

The True Essentials of A Feast Are Fun & Feed ❤️

First off, this is a review on their food delivery and not dine-in.

Service: We communicated with their friendly customer service via Instagram and ordered through E-mail. The entire process was very pleasant and a breeze. One you would expect of a hotel.

Foodie Pack - Ayam Percik  Kelantan Set (RM 188)

Packing: The feast arrived in a huge styrofoam box leaving us to wonder what lay in await within! And boy were we in for a banquet! Upon opening the box was the following neatly packed in plastic containers.

Ayam Percik Kelantan (spicy coconut and turmeric marinated chicken) Bur Lambic Ayam x 4 Nasi Minyak Chicken Murtabak Fried Potatoes with Anchovies & Onion Acar Dates Sago Dessert x 4 Fruit Juice x 4

Not only did Aloft go for quantity, but boy did they have quality! Each dish was packed with love and in a way that actually survived the delivery. In addition, the Ayam Percik Kelantan, Bur Lambic Ayam and Sago Desserts were beautifully presented and garnished. So much so that we decided to leave out the plating entirely. Each dish was delicious, extremely flavourful and authentic. The Bur Lambic Ayam in itself might be a little salty but with the rest of the dishes went perfectly. All in all, a truly remarkable experience.

All in all, very reasonably priced. The service and food quality which Aloft presented went hand in glove and that of a luxury hotel.

Nice spread of buffet breakfast, the cheese variety was my favourite during this trip. Food were tasty ! Masala Tea and Teh Tarik is a great option to be served.
