What an absolutely spectacular night out at Rockbottom Changkat - truly a gem in the heart of KL’s party scene! From the moment we walked in, the energy was magnetic, the crowd buzzing and the atmosphere set for an unforgettable experience.

The highlight of the night? Without question - Chemistry, the best party band in Malaysia hands down! They are vocally superb, with harmonies that could rival international acts. And their showmanship kept the audience captivated from the very first song to the final encore. Each member of the band is technically brilliant, delivering flawless performances on every instrument, while interacting with the crowd like true entertainers extraordinaire.

The bond between the band and the audience was nothing short of sensational – it felt like one massive celebration where everyone was part of the show.

Rockbottom Changkat itself is the perfect venue for such world-class entertainment. The sound system was crisp, the lighting created just the right mood and the party vibes flowed incessantly throughout the night. The atmosphere was electric; a mix of locals, expats, tourists all dancing, singing and having the time of their lives.

On top of that, the hospitality was second to none. Manager Neet runs the place with absolute class and finesse. AM Joyce added her personal touch of warmth and the ever-dedicated staff - Abdul and Munna - made sure every detail was taken care of with smiles and efficiency. It’s rare to find a team that makes you feel both like a VIP and among friends at the same time.

All in all, it was a magnificent night out - the kind of experience you can’t stop talking about and can’t wait to relive. It’s the 2nd time we went there and thought that drinks are on a pricey side. We were very torn about what to order yesterday and decided to go for 2 pints of Guinness for 69 RM. My partner is a big fan of Guinness so he knows exactly how the beer tastes. When they brought the beer and we took a sip I saw on my partners face that something was wrong and he instantly said: this is not Guinness. We told this to the bartender and he took the drinks away as we asked to change them. He then came back with the same drinks 5 mins later saying everything is ok with the drinks and we should continue with them as there is nothing they can do. I then asked for his manager as the taste of the beer was just unbearable. No manager came in the end and they hardly wanted to make an effort in keeping their customers happy, in the end we had to go to the bar and see them taste the Guinness themselves but of course they just kept saying that it is just ‘the new barrel’ that got open. We were very tired and wanted to leave the bar and go somewhere else but they kept stopping us. We went downstairs in the end and saw the manager who was polite enough to agree to change our beers but he first mentioned that their Guinness is perfectly fine. Very unpleasant experience and we won’t be back. In the end when we tried to pay we had to wait for the waiter to bring the card machine as he was very happily engaging in conversation with a girl. The staff were friendly, attentive, and ensured everything ran smoothly despite the packed house. Whether you were there for the music, the drinks, or the celebration, Rockbottom Changkat delivered on all fronts.

This was hands down, one of the most fun, exciting, and wonderful New Year’s Eve parties I’ve ever attended.
