I had lunch today and was surprised by how terrible the service was. I arrived around 12 PM and was seated in front of some people who were taking photos of the place, which felt really awkward. If you have photographers in the restaurant, wouldnât it make more sense to seat customers further away to avoid disrupting both the photographers and the dining experience?
We placed our orders around 12:10 PM: the Oceantail (fish & chips), Japanese Curry Rice, and a Caramel Latte. The coffee arrived relatively quickly, considering there was only one barista working. However, the food took almost 40 minutes to arrive. The Oceantail (fish & chips) came out first, but no cutlery was provided. When I asked for it, the server took away the dish, claiming it was the wrong order, which baffled me. I even showed him my order on my phone, confirming that the Oceantail was indeed the fish & chips he was holding while checking the POS system.
After a while, the server returned, apologized, and confirmed that it was my order. But even after this confusion, no cutlery was provided. I had to ask again and was given a fork and spoon, which surprised me as this is the first time Iâve been given these utensils for fish & chips. Maybe itâs just me, but that seemed unusual.
I also inquired about the Japanese curry that we had ordered at the same time. Other patrons, who arrived much later, had already received their food, and some had even finished eating and were making their payment. The dish they received was the same Japanese curry I had ordered, so why did it take almost 40 minutes for me to get mine, while others received theirs in less than five minutes?
When the Japanese curry finally arrived, it was lukewarm at best, and the outer layer of the chicken tasted burnt. The fries that came with the fish & chips were already soggy. To top it off, when I requested chili sauce, the server threw it onto the table without a word and just walked away.
If the goal was to provide terrible service with mediocre food, then you certainly succeeded.
Edit: Thank you for the ChatGPT response. By the way my girlfriend threw up after the meal multiple times. This was our first...
Read moreI was excited to try the new coffee shop in my area, and it was even better than I expected.
The visual design of this place is stunning. Clean white surfaces with elements of silver, grey and black. The airy lighting makes the space seem even bigger than it is (it's huge and there are two floors). There's a variety of seating options over the two floors and fantastic sculptures everywhere that provide constant visual interest. It's a really cohesive space, unlike any cafe I've seen. You can tell it was made with a strong artistic vision.
The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. You'll feel very well looked after from the moment you walk in. They're clearly very proud of the service they give.
Of course, the coffee is fantastic. Lots of great hot and cold options served in gorgeous mugs and glasses.
It was the food that really surprised me. The presentation of the dishes is really beautifully designed and everything I've had so far has been delicious. I keep coming back to try everything they have.
Oh, and the cake selection is amazing. Innovative, well executed recipes with soft sponge and cream that is not too sweet. Perfect.
Overall, an incredible start for the Silverfox team. Come and support the owners (and get some great content for...
Read moreFirst impression was good â the atmosphere is cozy, clean, and well-presented with a minimalist interior that works really well. Ordering system, however, feels a bit generic; it would be better if they had something more customized instead of a standard template. The food photos also need improvement â only one photo on the menu, and itâs not appealing enough to entice customers.
Now, the most important part: the food. Honestly, I can only give it a 2/10. The price doesnât match the quality at all. The prawn wasnât cleaned properly, and the pasta lacked flavor. It really makes me wonder if the chef has proper culinary training because basic preparation was not done right.
Overall, Iâd rate the place 2/5 stars â mainly because of the food. I donât mind paying a higher price, but it must come with proper quality. At the very least, food should be prepared and...
