TAZYEEN Arabic and Mughlai Cuisine — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

The food was bad. It clearly is just being reheated in an oven or microwave. They had a VERY BIZARRE ayran (yogurt drink) that was blended with green onion 🤯 I've been tried ayran/dough/leban/salti lassi all over the world from many cultures and I never had an ayran so disgusting. It tasted like biting into an onion - there were tiny bits of green onion blended up into it. Fortunately the staff were friendly and helpful (this was the only good thing about the meal) and they agreed to replace the drink without the green onion in it. But the replacement drink was just as gross - perhaps it had already gone bad, because it had a strong repulsive sulfur taste.

The best part about the food was I didn't get food poisoning, because the food was gross enough that I was almost certain I was going to get poisoned.

On the positive (as mentioned) the staff were polite and attentive. The portions were reasonable. But my goodness, there are so many alternatives to get good tasting arab food. This place is best skipped!

It seems this place has changed management or staff, because it's very hard to imagine how it got 4/5 stars historically. Maybe people are rating the shisha,...

For the food, overall is good with nice taste. However the portion is very small and expensive.

We ordered a family set with kebab that recommended for 2-3 pax. Portion of rice is big, but meat very little. For the other meal, the portion also very small, the thickness of lamb is around 1 cm only, even less than that. We expect it serve in larger portion since the price is not that cheap. Luckily the taste is still consider good.

For the service, we waited around 20-30 minutes for the food to be served. Might because of we ordered a family set so they need some time to prepare, it’s understandable.

What I don’t like is the staff started to clean our table after few minutes we finished our meal, even though there is only a few customers inside. Not only collect the empty utensils, the staff even start to wipe the table, so I need to move my body, gave him some space to clean and also to keep myself some distance from the staff. I don’t really get it why

I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Signature Galouti Kababs and Kolkata chicken Biryani, I had really bad experience of Galouti Kababs and Chicken Tikka Masala while the Biryani was OK , they are selling sort of shami Kabab in the name of Galouti Kabab, this is ridiculous, running a so called Indian restaurant and doesn’t know the difference of Kebabs, and on top of it the quality and taste of these kababs were worst to the core, dry and tasteless, I bet you need some sort of dip to eat these kababs, As for chicken tikka masala, it has no flavours again just blunt deep fried and hard chicken pieces mixed with un proportionate spices and onion gravy with lots of oil, no smoothness, texture or taste of what Chicken tikka masala should be, both of these items were real heart break, definitely no trying again from this restaurant. Also, how can they miss potato from the Kolkata Biryani, it seems the chef/manager here just know the names of the dishes and have no clue of the food items preparations and taste in reality.
