Lousy. In short money NOT well spend, steak AWFUL, service AWFUL. Please dont patron this outlet. We went at dinner time (peak) 7.30- 8.30pm, there were no customers. As we walk in, the server( may be the supervisor as he dress differently from the rest ) was attending to a table of about 8-10 people. And there were no one else. We stand at the waiting area , the only server gesture us to sit , so we seated ourselves. Since he just started to attend to that table, we took the menu ourselves. I place my hand on the wooden table and got slimed with sticky gravy. i had to use a wet wipes to wipe it as it was right at my elbow area. Menu looks impressive ( same as the online version we look before) but ...hear the rest of the story. We waited until the only server was done with that only 1 occupied table, but he never return to us though he was the one who saw us coming in and gesture us to sit. We wave our hands, we call them, we even walk right up to a "counter". eventually someone else came to take the order but doesnt speak malay or english well, maybe foreigner. Anyway, we were told to go upfront to chose our meat. I walk up and there were freezers/chiller full of individually packed slice of meat. We wanted tenderloin but there was not a single one, not from the Wagyu, not from the Angus, not from the grass-fed , NONE, disappointing, more disappointingly that first server did not say a single thing to ask as we choose, when we ask simple questions like , do you have so and so, he sounded not willingly to answer ( maybe he had a bad mood? ) Anyway, ordered placed, we ordered medium well. The pasta came the very first , way before the starter. It was not hold or warm, as if it was cook wrongly prior and happen to serve to us? After my kid finish the pasta , finish, then only the starter came, that is quie long isn’t it for a kid to finish a plate of pasta then only starter was serve? Soup was thick, taste ok, bread is stale though, even my other kid say its chewy. Fried broccoli was salty and too much oil. After much wait again ( 30mins or more , looking at my photo time stamp, I ordered before I took a photo of the front shop which timestamp at 7.27pm, pictures of the steak timestamp at 7.57 ) , the steak was served and we ask the girl which is which as we ordered two completey different steak. The girl say don’t know as she is a barista. Where are the SERVERS?? Anyway we just eat since it is only me and my husband. Both of us order medium well but it turns out more like medium or medium rare ( see pictures). The wagyu tasted sour, I don’t know if it is because of the plum sauce? But I ordered mushroom sauce, the plating has red color sauce smeared over it, no description mention about red or plum. The angus has no plum or red sauce but under season. Mash potato is under season too. As we eat halfway we wanted to order drinks , we didn’t order prior because of kids and also not toolet the ice melt too much. We couldn’t get a server again, I don’t know why no one is serving or attending. I walk up to the counter again to order. Once we finish with our food, we sit and chatted and wait very long and the drinks are still not here, just normal fruit drinks, not even ordering complicated custom drinks. I eventually walk to the cashier to cancel the drinks and paid the bill. As I walk back to my table, the “ supervisor” server happen to walk past my table and said “ drinks not here yet?” . I was thinking in my head “ yeah, you are absolutely on point, 100 marks for you!”. I simply said no and walk out. Overall money NOT well spend, steak AWFUL,...

Firstly the steaks. I am sorry but I did not have a steak. Holy hell did I want one but sadly, I couldn't warrant the splurge. They have an excellent array of high grade steaks available for customers to choose and weigh. You pay per 100g and can choose from I think both wagu and wagyu (wagyu is basically 25% wagu and wagu is the real deal), Angus, corn fed and grass fed beef steaks are all available. You also then choose your cut from tbones, tomahawk, ribeye, fillet, sirloin, ribs etc. There was also plenty of lamb to choose.
A fantastic system, if I were having a special dinner in Melaka, celebrating or whatever then this would be right up my street.
That being said if I were paying £20-50 on a premium steak I would be incredibly disappointed if my chips came out undercooked. I had a burger this evening (closer to £7), it came with undercooked chips and had an unnecessary smothering of sweet white sauce on. Perhaps I should've gone to Mcd.
If they can't do burger and chips to a higher standard then I'm not sure I'd be comfortable asking them to cook one of those steaks either. For the money it should be much better BUT I do feel as though these minor improvements could very easily happen, become consistent and lead to a great restaurant.
I recommend they fix the basics: triple cook the chips, let the customer apply sauces of their choosing and quantity and chuck on some promotions now and then. For me, wine would be good too but perhaps that's asking too much here.
On the other side of the table my wife had a Moroccan beef tagine that came with cous cous. She said it was lovely except the couscous was a little cold.
Fingers crossed for improvement as this place could be fantastic but based solely on what I ate for the money it was scraping 3...

First off, the steak was sadly not seasoned even with salt and when I ordered medium rare, they not only gave me rare but it was close to undercooked. The veges were cold and not even warm. I was in a bad mood already and I had to finish the steak because I don’t like wasting food and don’t wanna waste my money.
Second, the fries were not fully cooked. We had to tell the staff that it was undercooked and even after that, it was not fully cooked to golden brown.
Third, they forgot my cappuccino order. And we had to ask the waiter at the very end where the order was. One said the coffee machine was broken and then the other waiter came back telling us it can be done in 2 minutes. Unfortunately, by the time we remember, it was already the end of our meal. We canceled the order.
Finally, the staffs were arguing with each other while we were dining in. We sat closest to the kitchen and unfortunately, we had to hear and witness what the argument was for both the chef and the waiter. They were yelling and making fun of each other. One chef even had the audacity to slam the food that he was cooking in what seemingly an act of frustration because of the situation with the waiter. All my family saw what he did.
Side note, we waited outside to be seated because there’s a sign that says “please wait to be seated,” I’ve dined in many restaurants and when there’s signs, I tend to follow them. But alas, we sit ourselves down at the end. At least the waiter came to take our order.
PSA; I don’t leave a lot of reviews when it comes to restaurants, but unfortunately, I did not have a good experience while me and my family dined at Me’nate Steak Hub during my birthday. Probably wanna think twice or even thrice before...
