Harbor Village Crab House 海口人海鲜餐馆 — Restaurant in Malacca

We came to this restaurant because we thought, “We’re in Malaysia, we have to try crab!” We ordered the Chili Crab and the Salted Egg Crab. 꼭 와보세요ㅎㅎ 개맛도리임 ㅋ ㅋ에그 Taste • The Chili Crab had a perfect balance of spiciness and tanginess — it was really delicious. The Salted Egg Crab, which I tried for the first time, was absolutely amazing. At first, you can taste the richness of the egg yolk, and then the deep, savory flavor follows — it’s truly addictive. There’s no spiciness at all, so it’s perfect for those who can’t eat spicy food. The crab meat was fresh and plump, with just the right amount of yield. They also served pudding and fruit as dessert, which made for a perfect finish to the meal. One important tip — fried rice or plain rice is not listed on the menu, but you should definitely ask for it. It goes perfectly with the sauce, especially for Korean visitors!

Service • The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. They made us feel very comfortable without being overbearing, which really enhanced the dining experience. I hope the service stays just as good when we visit again in the future.

Price • The price was very reasonable. Considering the taste and service, it was a meal that left us...

Maybe my rating s rather harsh but I m a straight shooter in food reviews. This s a Chinese seafood restaurant. Unfortunately, service person cannot communicate in Chinese, English s only brief. Malay s ok. Only e boss who man e cashier speaks fluently. He took our order. Could improve on this. Ordered the salted egg crab promo, 2 for myr98. Decent size. Not too bad. E Assam grouper fish tail s ok. Too sour. Lacks spice. E prawns s recommended. 300g for 6 mid sized prawns. They r fried before coated in special soya sauce. The frying made e prawns cripsy n edible with e shell. The 排骨王 s just chopped up pork chop. It not bad but disappointed that it s not pork ribs. Rest of 2 dishes r average. Overall, chef s heavy handed with salt. E sauces for e dishes is tad too salty. Could reduce. Lucky no msg. Dessert s free. Total s myr311. A bit ex...

If you're looking a quick seafood feast in Melaka, this is the best place to be! Friendly staff, fast and efficient service, and food that arrives in no time.

From the crispy sweet and sour pork to the fresh vegetables. But the real highlight? The crab! Fresh, well-cooked and the size of it is definitely worth the price (XXL btw). We had it with the creamy butter sauce which is absolute perfection! Pair it with chinese steamed buns (馒头) to soak up that rich, flavorful sauce (chef kiss).

The environment is fairly clean, and parking is easy to find, but if you want to a seat, arrive early (6-7pm) or make a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment, because after 7pm, the place gets flooded with people!

Would definitely come again for the creamy salted egg...
