The Backyard Miri — Restaurant in Sarawak

We respect their no reservation rules however bcos the customer “know” the worker/ owner (we don’t know) and they can go in without queuing and took our seat (which we had waited for over 40minutes outside) THIS IS RIDICULOUS! After we see this, we trying to observe the staff reaction who serve inside, who incharge rearrange the seat for customers, we trying to observe if they will “follow their own rules” , we found out they don’t even care and just let them sit in.

My friend go to approach the staff why those “walk in” customer not need queue, and they even lied said that they are the customer who queue in-front BUT WE KNOW THEY ARE LYING bcos that group of customer before go in had expose the FACT with their conversation; -“ Eh got seat leh is there, need queue meh? Can sit eh” -“Hey u di tou she right, do something” -“ yeah I know them very well.lets go let’s go”

And yea, with this horrible experience, I told my friend let’s jus leave and have our dinner somewhere because to such restaurant who don’t respect us who obeying their rules “ queue n wait” and we being treated unfairly, why are we suppose to waste our time to such unprofessional service restaurant 🤬

I will never go back to this shop again after experience the bad service and unfairly treated. Highly recommend to this restaurant go improve their professional service quality first before they start to...

We wasted one hour waiting for our food and only been served our drinks and a small Bowl of coleslaw, after noticing that all the surrounding tables have already had their food and left and still there is no sign of our main dishes being serve, no waitress seems to be concern that we have been sitting around so long without our dinner while they were busy cleaning the tables and talking to each other. When we finally asked the waitress about what happened to our main, she checked and told us that it will be another 10 minutes so we waited, but when we saw that even the table that came after us got their food, we finally gave up and confronted the cashier about what happened, she seems confused and no explanation was given to us, we left without having dinner and that really spoiled our night out. To add insult to injury, our clothes smell of grilled food after we left the premises (the ventilation is bad in the place).. Do not recommend this...

Review based on service. Havent given a chance to try their food. Google wrote close at 10pm. We are expecting the kitchen close at 9.30pm or after. Drive all the way from Brunei to try the food. We arrived at 9.05pm and the staff mentioned kitchen already closed at 9pm, cannot order anymore, didn't even bother to check with kitchen or manager. I am 9 months pregnant.
