My friend and I ( both of us are girls) tried the grilled fish with side dishes Everything goes well until this particular waiter served our foods and he made a comment on us “both of you ordered so much” with slight giggling. FYI that one statement ruined our mood and we really can’t enjoyed the foods anymore it’s more like we forced ourselves to finish it. However when we were paying for the bills and so happened the same waiter became the cashier. With his sarcastic tone , he commented that we had leftovers and again commented that we ordered too much and repeatedly asking us why we didn’t finish everything while taking picture of the leftover foods. He seemed to have fun and felt funny about it. We left the restaurant feeling mad , unhappy and felt violated.
Is this how your staff should act ? Giving comments and judging customers? Or is this some sort of discrimination because we are both girls so we can’t order more ? Mind you that the leftover were just a few pieces of lotus root.
I am of the confident that there are other customers who order a lot and had leftovers too but nobody give any comments or laugh at . Why did this happened to only us ?
I suggest that if the restaurant dislike having girls customers who can eat well to put up a board or a new rule on limiting female customers order. This whole experience not just ruined my meal but the entire day as I felt so mad and pissed off after being humiliated in such inappropriate manner. FYI this isn’t some charity foods which deserve this type of treatment.
PS: To all the girlies who can eat well , please do not waste your money and time here. All you get is...
Read moreThe food was quite good but the service was bad. It took 45 minutes to receive a single cup of lemon black tea, which we later discovered was pre-made. We politely reminded the same waitress three times about our drink, and while she said she would check, no action was taken. After requesting assistance from a different waiter, our drink was immediately served—it appeared the tea was readily availble and the waiter just need to get it from a nearby dispenser and serve it to us. We kindly request that your staff receive training on proper food and beverage service procedures, including locating items and recognizing orders.
Another waiter displayed poor behavior. We ordered a shared jumbo drink, and while one waiter initially offered to split it, he only served one cup from the container, leaving us feeling confused. A second waiter, noticing our confusion, asked, "What are you guys waiting for?" While his intention may have been helpful, his tone and phrasing were somewhat condescending.
We understand that service staff can experience demanding situations, but we believe fundamental training in customer service etiquette is essential for your establishment. If you are going to charge a 10% service charge, we expect at least a BASIC service provided. Please train...
Read moreThe food was average—nothing impressive. The service doesn’t even compare to Tai Er. They have a bunch of servers either wandering around or chatting. I understand that grilled fish takes time, but why does sour plum soup take 20 minutes to serve? If I had never been to Tai Er, I might tolerate this level of service, but after experiencing their standards, this place doesn’t deserve to charge a service fee.
Honestly, even two stars would be too generous—this service isn’t worth a single star. The servers were chatting the whole time, and no one checked our order or followed up on why the food was taking so long. As a result, we waited 50 minutes, and the fish still hadn’t arrived. The restaurant’s management is a complete mess—or rather, there is no management at all. I decided to leave, and then the manager came out, trying to pacify me like a child. First, they offered a discount, which I declined. Then they suggested half price—I still refused. Finally, they said the fish would be free.
I have no idea how this person became a manager. With such poor crisis management skills, I’d recommend they resign. Do you think customers come here because they can’t afford the meal and are just waiting for you to...
