All of the staff there is not friendly. Not even a smile on their face. Not attentive. We came in and want to sit on the table on the corner, but the waiter said cannot because that is for 6 seater, we are 4 people (despite there is a lot of unseated table around since few customer only inside), finally he put us in the table in the middle that is a 6 seater too. Lol. We didn’t know how to order because the last time i remember, we don’t need to order thru scan at Midvalley branch. They took our order and not like this branch. The menu book is really confusing because of the set. So its hard for us. Even after asking the staff for few times, (it was uneasy because they seems like they don’t bother us, ignore us, we felt like left out), finally he asked me to just order thru the menu via scan in phone. It means, he didn’t guide us. They didn’t seems like they wanna serve us. All just sit around and their face looks grumpy. Luckily we manage to order after like so long figuring out by ourselves. I also asked help from the staff to take out the remain unfinished food, but the staff gave me one container and asked me to packed the rice by myself (this was never happen in my life ever 😂 but i just nodded and packed myself). She only pack the chicken and squid ring but she mix both inside one paper bag. That is so unprofessional. Luckily i just say yes and smile also, talk nice also. I don’t know if other people, who might not have a patience like me, maybe they will get scolded already 😂 Furthermore, The taste of the teh tarik is bitter and tasteless. I have to asked the staff twice to add more milk inside since the first staff didn’t understand english. I have to go and bring myself the cup at the back and told them that the teh tarik is bitter since the first attempt i asked one staff (who can’t understand english) and he did nothing to the teh tarik (means he did not put milk/sugar inside). Not even any sorry word coming from them. Or even a smile on their face. I am the one who say sorry because i asked them to put somemore milk 😅 Not gonna come here again. First and will be our last. So bad service. I came here because i remember how good banana bros at MidValley branch is, their staff take our order and guide, explain us about the food, pay attention to customer also. In my honest opinion, I think you better revise all of your staff, because i think in another few months you will get bankrupt because of your own staff, no ones gonna come to this branch because of your staff’s bad service. Like the hell baddest one in Malaysia i...
Read moreOur first time dining at Bananabros. We walked in at approximately 1045am and there was a group of 10 pax ahead of us. After deciding on what to have, we had to wait for about 15 minutes before the lady managing the floor eventually came to our table to take our order. She initially informed us that white rice was not available. Why? We don't know🤷♂️. So our only choice was to have the Briyani rice - which had an upcharge. A few minutes after taking our order, she came back yet again and informed us that the Briyani rice has finished and that white rice would be available if we could wait for a bit. To which we said ok. My question is - how does a business start without having the main core product - white rice! And how did they manage to "item 86" the Briyani rice right after only serving the first 10 pax?? Throughout the whole waiting game, our food was served first and drinks only came later. I must compliment on the taste of the food. White rice was hot. Curries tasted absolutely delicious. Chicken 65 was tasty but cold. The squid was cold too. Side dishes were fortunately tasty and fresh. There has got to be a way to maintain a safe serving temperature for food. Service wise, there's lots of room for improvement. The lady managing the floor should refrain from shouting out orders from afar. The drink maker needs to be retrained. What comes with ice must be ice cold and not warm at the base of the cup while ice is melting at the top. Overall dining experience is ok. Probably better at different outlets. Will definitely try out...
Read moreOkay, honest opinion about this overhyped banana rice place. If you can accept eating only rice, curries and vegetables (cabbage, fried bittergourd, cucumber), then the Craving Set worth RM12.90 will suit you well. Unlimited refills so eat until you are full. Their sides such as Gobi 65, Gobi Manchurian, Butter Chicken etc starts at RM7.90. And bear in mind, the portion is very very small. It is literally the size of my fist if not smaller. I ordered 3 sides, Gobi 65, Gobi Manchurian and Vege Chicken Masala to be shared between me and my friend. Yes, the meal was filling mainly due to the Craving Set but the price and portion of each side is not worth it. Even the drinks were quite expensive, RM3.90 for plain water?? Really? And RM5.90 for Teh O Ais Limau. In total I spent RM68.90 for only 2 pax. Overpriced? Yes. Will I come again? Probably not. The rice, curries, vege and papadoms are nothing special and I daresay their curries are quite watery. Unless they reduce the price of sides or increase the portion, I wont be visiting here again. Service was alright. We got a seat almost immediately and placed our order on the paper and passed to the waiter. Although he missed out one of my sides, I'm glad he did because I was already full. You really have to get the waiter's attention if you want curries, veges and rice. But they were nice and explained what was each...
