The restaurant impresses with its bright and spacious interior, creating an inviting atmosphere. The attentive staff adds to the overall experience, ensuring that guests feel well taken care of throughout their visit. Among the recommended dishes:- 1. Sauteed diced chicken with dried flower chilli in Szechuan style: It was a fiery and delicious dish that packed a punch. The combination of tender chicken and spicy chilli created a delightful explosion of flavors. 2. Stewed sliced fish with preserved vegetables: We found it to be a comforting and hearty choice. The fish was tender, and the preserved vegetables added a tangy note that complemented the dish well. 3. Tomato egg lamian: It was a simple yet satisfying noodle dish. The tomato soup had a nice balance of sweetness and acidity, and the eggs added a creamy texture. While the recommended dishes were generally impressed, there were a couple of misses:- 1. Shanghainese steamed meat dumpling: Although decent, it fell short compared to those from Ding Tai Fung. 2. Braised chicken in Taiwanese style: The dish was overly salty, and the chicken itself was tough and had an unpleasant frozen smell. It was a disappointment. 3. Braised tofu with assorted mushrooms: It had the same issue of excessive saltiness. However, the tofu itself was prepared nicely and had a pleasing texture.

Dragon i is a restaurant chain that we've visited at multiple locations, and we've never been disappointed. One of the best things about Dragon i is that it is very vegetarian-friendly. However, it's important to specify which vegetarian, tofu or egg dishes you would like to be prepared without any meat-based ingredients, such as chicken stock or oyster sauce. If you don't mention this, the kitchen staff might still use seasonings that contain meat products. In our recent visit, we ordered two non-vegetarian dishes: a minced meat Mapo Tofu and a sour vegetable soup with fish fillet. The Mapo Tofu dish was perfectly cooked and a great complement to the steamed rice. However, the fish fillet in the soup was not as impressive, and we've had better versions of this dish elsewhere. On the other hand, the vegetarian dishes we tried were excellent. The fried tomatoes with eggs and the tofu soup were both great. The service at Dragon i was also exceptional. The servers were extremely attentive, making sure that our herbal tea was constantly being refilled. Overall, Dragon i is a reliable choice for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian diners, as long as you remember to specify any dietary requirements. The food quality is generally high, and the service is excellent.

We ordered 3 dishes, they served 1 dish and other 2 super late until we finish eating. This is not dragon I service as I know. Top management, pls see what's wrong, like this close shop la. Lot more effective shops lei. #Add review after packing down below# We had to pack the balance as in the photo. But the lady supervisor came back to apologise and they offered 3 soya soup free of charge as apologetic gesture. We couldn't eat the soup as we were full with the earlier rice and 1st dish out. Also the supervisor mentioned she has mentioned to the kitchen team to be more courteous and follow appropriate speed of delivery of food. I hope to see better improvement next time as I have been patronising dragon I more than 10 years.

Famous chinese restaurant chain in Malaysia. Had their xiao long bao (4pcs, RM12.80) which was flavourful and hit the spot. Dip it in black vinegar and topped with ginger slices to really enjoy this dish. Also had the pork in a pot, couldn't remember the name but refer to the pic. The flavours blew me away, definitely a heavy tasty dish. Fatty parts of the pork were used so it felt as if it was melting in your mouth. To soak up the extra gravy, the dish came with 4 pcs of steamed mantou. The plain mantou with the flavourful sauce was a match made in heaven. Overall, really enjoyed the food here. But do come earlier if you plan to dine here as the queues can get long. Service is quick and warm enough.
