The first time I went there the pizza was really good, I liked it so much that I suggested it to some other friends but the second time it turned out to be a really dissapointing experience. The chicken one ordered was literally floating in a cup of oil, in fact she left it there and they deducted a ridiculous €1.50 from the bill and she did not eat it. Then there was also this band which was a disaster, literally the female "singer" saying continuously dubi dubi dooo for more than 2hours, not a single song with some lyrics or at least just keeping it instrumental, may be they thought they were being original, who knows!. So sorry I was the one who suggested the place. The Maltese waitress was really nice though.
Reply2: It amazes me that you say you recall all those details when only the waitress was there and a few lines down you said that we did not say anything. She did not offer to replace her food, I just confirmed with my friend. This was supposed to be a birthday event and I am so sorry that I was the one who suggested it. The waitress offered free instant coffee not liquers, I in fact asked for an americano which I never got and my friend plain tea, and whoever made it filled all glasses with milk to the brim including the coffees. The waitress had to remake it as even she realised it was not adequate to drink when she came with the glasses. If I recall well, instant coffee only costs 60c from your menu. The meal ordered (€15) should have been good in the first place, we all work for the money we spend and if for you a 60c coffee and €1.50 discount on the chicken alone is enough to make up for the disastrous dinner then you really do not value your clients. Never...
Read moreThis was the first restaurant we visited in Malta after a long day of travel from the US. It was recommended by our AirBnB host. We made a reservation at 5:30pm just in case because it was a Friday night, but didn’t seem like we needed it. Staff greeted us right away and they were super friendly. We chose to sit outside to take in the city vibe. There’s a little fenced off area with roosters, chickens and goats that were nearby and fun to look at. The kitchen didn’t open until 6 but the staff took our order right away and brought us our drinks.
We got our food quickly after 6, which was great - the place started filling up! The food and drinks were all delicious. I tried the local Maltese spritz, my husband had the Cisk lemon beer and the Thatcher’s cloudy lemon cider. All fabulous. For food we had the truffle fries (yum), a margarita pizza (pretty good), and then the mexican salad and caesar salad (both delicious). By the time we were done we were falling asleep on our feet from jet lag and alcohol, the staff packed up our leftovers for us and we went home. Would definitely come back to this place! Great food, service, and staff (great prices too!) Thanks for welcoming us to...
Read morePizza was just wonderful and it was the first time I was eating pesto based pizza, really worth recommending! But what's even better? Truffle fries! Oh, dear God, I thought i'm gonna melt, the best truffle fries I had, as well with the sauce as without it - AMAZING. It wasn't just topping and underneath regular fries, it was nicely mixed and they don't skimp on the things that really make it THE truffle fries. I barely can find words to describe it. Ratio of price to quality is more than good as the quality is fairly awesome. The atmosphere of the place is really nice as well, reminds me of my home, because it's not very maltese vibe that I would knew before, but more western/hipster vibe of places I know from Poland. I send best regards also for the staff which is accordingly amazing to the whole place :) you can see that this incredible place wasn't created by itself ❤️❤️❤️
(P.S. The food was sooo good that the only picture I have was from the time I was leaving already, to remember anything...
