A Wonderful Experience
My wife and I went to Adesso a few weeks ago to celebrate a special occasion. We had emailed around a week before as we were interested in trying a tasting menu. The manager (Gabor) was extremely accommodating to our request and gave us a very reasonable price for a 7 course dinner.
Ambiance: The restaurant is well situated and we had no problem finding parking close by on a weekday. Inside it was quiet and cosy, perfect for a romantic evening.
Staff: The wait staff were extremely attentive to detail without being intrusive. We were very well assisted when it came to choosing the wine, and we discovered some excellent local wines.
Food: Chef Victor truly delivered world-class food over our 7 courses. The dishes were exquisitely plated and each one was inventive and packed with mouth-watering flavor. My particular favorite was an oyster in batter resting on a cucumber filled with a crab mix, but each dish had us singing Chef Victor's praises. The portions were just right and Gabor paired the wines extremely nicely. Moreover the timing of the dishes was spot on.
What Adesso delivered that evening was an experience that is extremely tricky to get right: We were served 7 flawless dishes, paired with excellent wine and with staff that were attentive but not intrusive. What's more we felt we paid a very reasonable price for the whole evening.
Please keep up the excellent work, you'll definitely be...

The street is very narrow.
When it is fine warm weather you can sit outside.
Inside the ambiance and atmosphere is good looking.
We have not made a reservation.
We have appeared at 5:45 p.m. and got offered a table inside for two hours.
Fast we got the menu from the Boss. In addition he informed us about some specials of the day.
The wine list is good looking and is offering wines for each taste.
We ordered Fettucini with Lobster (26,50 €) and Truffle Ravioli (15,50 €).
We also got fine bread and perfect butter from the House!
The taste was perfect!
The glass of Malta White Wine Chardonnay was charged with 6 €. The taste was good! The bottle of water was charged with 4 €.
A sad thing was that napkins are made out of cheap paper.
This should be exchanged into textile napkins due to the high standard of this Restaurant.
The Toilet downstairs is not lighted enough from the outside.
It is- due to the light situation- almost impossible to recognize that it is mentioned for females and males in this very small room.
Internet is available.
American Express cards are not welcomed. You can pay with VISA-CARD.

The place strives to be in the Valletta top five list of restaurants. The location, décor, menu are excellent. The place blends elements of Maltese, Italian and nouvelle cuisine quite successfully: the owners are very choosey and attentive to details and they have hired a like-minded staff, but unexpected things happen in catering and risk ruining even the best of reputations. I was there during a heatwave in the busiest time of the season and they happened to be understaffed and struggling with a malfunctioning AC unit (they have thee units in a relatively small space but it is never enough in 38 degree weather); I was dining with the owners and they were trying to make sure the other guests were attended to and possibly served before us, so the service at our table was a bit slow (we had a lot to discuss...). The starters (Japanese-style buns with pulled rabbit meat, Maltese sausage and cheeselets, snails in tomato sauce...) were delicious, and the lamb perfectly cooked; my dad thoroughly enjoyed his sea-bream main course. The desserts were great too including a tart with melted chocolate and halawa. All in all a very...
