For a bar known for showing sports, they're very reluctant to. I stopped by in the morning and asked if they could play the F1 race in the afternoon, a nice gentleman there said yes. I showed up well before start time, and it took 20 minutes for a waiter to stop by. I asked him for a pint, and asked if they could turn on the race on one of the many TV's, with only a handful of other customers. And he said no, every (over 5 through the place) TV would be playing the BBC Live view of outside Buckinham palace because the queen died, albeit 5 days ago now. It's so hard to believe they want it on EVERY TV even though there were 6-7 people inside, including me.

This isn't even including that there were a few children running around the pub, climbing on the chairs across my table and running around screaming. It's a pub, not a playground.

I chugged my beer, left a 5 on the table, and I will never return. It's a shame, the menu looked promising and others had said they would be happy to play something for you if requested. Oh well, good riddance, I wish I could...

Tragic service. Server approaching a table, placing drinks on a table (as opposed to serving them to whoever ordered them, or simply asking who ordered what), and not saying which drink is which. Server then proceeded to smell drinks to try and guess which white spirit is which. Honestly, laughable. Ordered 2 glasses of Prosecco, seconds after asked server to change it to a bottle, said that the order went through already…. And they wouldn’t budge. Happily said to their face: ok, I’ll spend less then! Oh, and we were also charged for a drink that never showed up. Ordered a Jägerbomb, drink didn’t come, informed the server about situation and to not charge for another drink, drink comes, got charged for an extra drink, informed them about this, and wouldn’t change the bill as apparently the drink came out. Actually, so so funny. Obviously informed staff about this, and argued to no avail. No worries, I’ll never set foot in the...

Went to ask if they have beers for takeout after our meal in a restaurant next door as we wanted to take some drinks to our hotel room. The bartender opened a couple of bottles without giving us any real response, and we weren't allowed to take the bottles with us since they are the local beer bottles. So we decided to have the beers there since they were already opened. We eventually just wanted to go back to our hotel room, so when we went in to ask if we could return the bottles and get the rest of the beers in plastic glasses to take with us. A very rude man came up to me and told me that since I had a doggy bag from the food we had from a different restaurant, I couldn't enter the premises and was asked to leave. And he told me someone would come up to me to give me service. After waiting outside for about 10 mins and no attendee showing up, we just left. A sour end to an otherwise wonderful...

English pub transported from the back streets of London to Valletta. A surprising find whilst wandering. Nice outdoor area to sit and people watch, or large indoor bar to sit and sup. The beer, of course, was Cisk. Pub does a food menu - didn’t eat here but did have some complementary brushchetta with drinks and others’ meals looked lovely. Shocked to see two ladies leave half of a fantastic looking platter they ordered (21st March). Such waste on their part. Pub seems a firm part of the community, with trophies on display. Much cleaner and better condition toilets than you’d get in the equivalent in London! 😆 A few minutes walk uphill from getting off the ferry from Silema. Worth a stop to grab a pint and plan your day in Valletta. Another on the way back after (inevitably) just missing a ferry….

Really nice pub in Valleta. It is roomy and well presented, spacious & well maintained. It's the kind of place you can just sit back & relax in and while away a few hours drinking Stella & putting the world to rights. Staff were very friendly but not pushy. They brought out some French bread with pesata & butter beans garnished with some rocket free of charge. We didn't eat here so it wouldn't be fair to comment. Same with the atmosphere, we were there around 3pm on a weekday so it was quiet. It's in a great location & I imagine that it's heaving in the evening.

We had the fish and chips and Beef pie.I got 2 pieces of fish due to the portions being so small I am guessing, now to the actual dish itself...... there was more batter on each portion of the fish so hardly any fish! Very disappointing! The Pie was not any better with a serious lack of meat.( my partner told me) I made the waiter aware of this upon paying and he told me he would let the kitchen know, to be honest you guys need to do better in an area where there is so much choice.
